hello, there seems to be a stylesheet error on the admin page. when you visit the admin forum section the edit/delete items are both offset from the actual forum line and each one cascades in diagnally making it almost impossible to use. This is using Firefox and the standard theme.

    Hello,

‘Admin Add Users’ plugin (I’m using latest 1.2) doesn’t work. When you are in the administrator window and edit a profile created using the plugin, it takes you to your keymaster account.

The problem is the new version of bbpress now populates ‘nicename’ field whereas the old one doesn’t, and so this plugin doesn’t either. Adding a ‘nicename’ fixes the problem.

However, while you can login using the new user I don’t understand how because it uses md5 for the password, and I thought 0.9 now uses a different encryption system?

I imagine there are some other serious problems that you should really disable this plugin until it is fixed.

One is that it uses direct sql to add the user, which may not be compatible with 0.9…

    Hope this helps.

There’s a bug in the style sheet. Though to be fair it was in the last version too. If your post is only a line or two, the ‘Custom Title’ merges with the RSS feed option, making it look bad and you are unable to click the rss link

This is with the standard themes.

What would also be useful is somewhere in a user’s profile something telling him how to update his avatar.

You didn’t mention what to do in the upgrade when it asks for a keymaster. I entered my same details and it went tits up telling me it’s in safe mode, etc.

I think you need to put what you do at this stage to make it clear.

    Hello,

Will existing themes work with the new version?

I second that and suggest an additional option. I’m using private forums but it is lacking two things that would make it great and make bbPress more in line with other forums:

    1. allow viewing to be based on class, e.g. I have a admin section that I only want admins to even know exists, but I also have other forums that I do want people to see but not necessarily acces, which leads onto…

    2. allow the ability to reply to topics but not create new ones, e.g. you have fixed items (like, say a support forum) where people can post questions but not create new topics.

    Hello,

The fault was found and suggested to me at wordpress forum and it is due to magic quotes runtime being turned on.

I’d strongly recommend as an interim you modify your installation instructions to state clearly that magic quotes runtime should be turned off for the software to work.

And for any future stable/svn release you should perform a check on magic quotes and code around this issue.

For some reason I cannot edit this message but can post a reply. Anyway, I’ve traced the fault though have no idea how to fix it.

Basically after entering your name (field new_keymaster) and initial forum on step 1 when you get to step 2 the field new_keymaster is empty, thus no keymaster is set and no forum set.
