In reply to: How can forum visitors register or log in?
Do you get the sidebar and widget when viewing /forums rather than /forums/general in your screenshot? And when you are viewing /forums/general is the sidebar & widget near the bottom of your screen instead of directly to the right of the forums?
Thanks, It is now being investigated and if confirmed will try to get the patch in for the next release.

In reply to: How can forum visitors register or log in?Go into ‘bbPress WP Tweaks’ settings /wp-admin/options-general.php?page=bbpress-wp-tweaks and change the ‘Default forum wrapper’ to ‘index.php’ (it should be in bold text)
In reply to: The Slickest BBPress ForumAwesome work, looks great š
In reply to: Install Breaking SiteWhat do you have the ‘Forums Base’ slug set to and is the ‘Forum Prefix’ checked?(/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=bbpress)
In reply to: How can forum visitors register or log in?Have a look at this plugin https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bbpress-wp-tweaks/
It will give you a different sidebar whenever someone is on a forums page and you can populate it with whatever widgets you need.
In reply to: Install Breaking SiteWhat error messages are you getting specifically? I could not find the ‘WordPress Database Backup’ plugin you are using
I just installed and activated these three and I do not see any conflicts?

In reply to: import untouched contentOK, I’m with you now, are you going to use a BBCode plugin for bbPress to render the HTML output?
I have just started working on a patch to add CSS for bbcode_quote, bbcode_quote_head, bbcode_quote_body and a few of the other CSS classes that are are parsed with bbp-parser.php
In reply to: Install Breaking SiteThere are 20,000+ plugins in the WordPress plugin directory alone, at times there will be conflicts.
If you do not specify the exact problems you are having here regarding bbPress or prepared to specify them to the other plugin developers then no developers know of your issues and this indeed comes to mind https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/If_a_tree_falls_in_a_forest
In reply to: Import ForumsThis is by design, if the user enters the correct information for the database settings on the import screen the importer would be able to read that data and would start trying to import that data and as Murphy’s Law dictates whatever that default you set it to will not be the option the end user assumed it would be, then you have an incomplete and inconsistent data set to try and remove.
I did this exact thing yesterday and was quite happy that this is what happened rather than having to go into phpMyAdmin and manually delete data chunks from WP tables.

In reply to: import untouched contentHave a look at the raw data in your MySQL database not the rendered HTML output, apart from some ‘line breaks’ (<br />) you will find this data is identical.
phpBBv3: phpbb_posts.post_text bbPress: wp_posts.post_content
If you are actually wanting the importer to convert phpBB’s BBCode during import that is being worked on for future versions of bbPress and the import/conversion tool.

In reply to: Looking for Group or Individual project pluginYou would be best to look at WordPress plugins, this is not something that bbPress does.
eg. https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ndizi-project-management/
Or others https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tags/project-management
Or just search https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/
In reply to: Install Breaking SiteI suggest you contact each of the plugin developers and ask if they are going to be supporting bbPress in future updates for starters.

In reply to: bbp_new_converter cant connect to dbThanks, this has now been fixed for the next release 2.1.3
In reply to: Install Breaking SiteIf you deactivate ALL your plugins and then activate bbPress does it still break your site?
In reply to: bbPress translation filesDiscussion continued at https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/2012/08/07/i-would-like-to-be-a-validator-for/
In reply to: import untouched contentWhen importing from phpBB BBCode is NOT converted, this will hopefully be an option in future releases.
Here’s the list of bbPress User Roles and Capabilities if that helps:

Did you empty/remove the page from ‘trash’?
In reply to: Creating an FAQ for the bbPress CodexEvery thing up ^^^^ here looks and sounds good as does the FAQ š
“Is there any way to subscribe to tag feeds?”
Only by RSS, just add /feed to the end or a tags URL https://bbpress.org/forums/topic-tag/faq/feed“What Iām wondering is whether we need to provide anything for the forum members?”
As the docs get better I think they will be universal enough to be used by all parties and by utilizing a plugin such as https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bbpress-admin-bar-addition/ I think ‘the docs’ can be delivered to quite a few target audiences being discussed above.> The new admin bar entries will only be displayed if the current user has the bbPress/ WordPress capability of moderate. (Note: I am open for suggestions here if this should maybe changed to a more suitable capability.)
In reply to: phpBB@Durelle I have sent you an email with a fix to the gmail address listed on your site, if you could test this for us that would be great.
In reply to: BBpress keeps crasing multisite install@shineonscotland Do you have a page created called ‘forums’? the reason I ask this is that http://causeblogs.org/topics/ appears to work fine and the http://causeblogs.org/forums/ should display in the same manner.
Also, I see that you have the bbPress Visual Hooks, great plugin from @jaredatch
