@OKTeaRoom – I will have a look at that – though I’d also need to find out how to check for member existance.
@etiviti – Thanks, I’ll download it and run through the code. I’m sure it’ll be easy to make the plugin.
In reply to: Can you lock Sticky Posts@citizenkeith – Which brings up the idea of forum ‘announcments’ – but they’re essentially the same thing, I guess.
In reply to: Thanks plugin@gerikg – it’s more of a ‘like’ plugin.
In reply to: Thanks pluginSounds great Paul – love the way you go beyond with plugins. Thank you for that.
That wouldn’t be a problem; I’m always tweaking my theme files to make it all just look better.
In reply to: Thanks plugin@paulhawke – sounds great, can’t wait to see it. Now, are you going to be making it a “like” this post, or a “thank you” for this post plugin?
In reply to: Display a list of recent topics@chandersbs: I see – well that’s also cool – it looks nice on your site.
In reply to: Sneak peek at bbPress.org 2.0In reply to: Display a list of recent topics@chandersbs – Thanks for sharing this, I’ll be sure to try it out.
Would you possibly want it to have the date displayed in this format: x seconds/minutes/hours/days ago ?
In reply to: [latest discussions] list, how do I edit it?Install this plugin, and modify it as needed:
In reply to: Plugins@ paamayim – BBCode Lite is the only plugin. It works perfectly for me.
In reply to: Topics-in-tag count incorrectOh I see – surely it would then be logical to have the tooltip say, “x recent topics”?
In reply to: Topics-in-tag count incorrectI guess I should have done that first…
It’ seems to be Burning Tags – I will post a link on the plugin page to this thread.
In reply to: Topics-in-tag count incorrectIs there any way I can update it?
In reply to: Convert Woltlab Burning Board to bbPressI see – I’m assuming you’d have to move everything manually using PHPMyAdmin – though you would need to know the format of the bbPress MySQL Database.
Is it a big issue to restart with a blank, fresh forum?
In reply to: Thanks pluginOh I see – I had a feeling it was about this.
It’s really a nice idea – adds a little ‘social network’ to the forum. Would it not maybe be an idea to make a plugin that requires a small template edit for now?
I think, in general, it would be a good idea to have the ‘thanks’ responses to the left of the post, or wherever the poster’s details appear. That way, most templates would pick it up.
In reply to: Cannot login – Uninstall?Did you change the URL in the admin panel? You may have to move eveything back to nexus1forum, change the URL, and then move it to nexesoneforum.
There may be a better way of doing this, but I don’t know of it.
In reply to: Topics-in-tag count incorrectYes, still no difference.
In reply to: Thanks pluginI’m not catching on here – what exactly are you trying to do?
It’s really good idea – and it can be done, but I’m not sure of the code behind it. If it were me, I’d simply do a template edit to get it right; simply by determining the user’s status, and then using a different post CSS class to make it look different.
Some would suggest a plugin for this however. If I find a way to do it, I will let you know.
In reply to: Convert Woltlab Burning Board to bbPressFirstly, I don’t know of any converter out ther for it – so the chances of getting it done may be very slim.
Secondly, it seems that package has multiple forums in a single board package, which is completely different to bbPress.
Do you not like the current software you have?
In reply to: No loginNo confirmed date yet – there are still IRC meetups every Wednesday. You may want to read the IRC logs on the blog:
In reply to: No loginAs far as I know, there is a plugin for Anonymous Posting – but it is being developed into the core of the next version.
In reply to: improved spoiler (plugin)Glad to know this. I’m assuming this doesn’t add any buttons to the BBCode Toolbar – so anyone know how I can add it? My knowledge of regular expressions is very limited.
In reply to: Problem with User Photo!I have never used that particular plugin – so I can’t help you there.
I do recommend, however, what seems to be the most stable plugin for avatars:

If you’d like to see it use before making a decision, see this post on my forum:

Hope this helps.
In reply to: latest discussions pagedYes, it works properly with version 1.0.2. You can see it working here:
