In reply to: Navigation error
Ah, that may have been the issue. Are you guys using the latest version of Hidden Forums (v 0.0.9)? There was a patch for a related issue there (this patch is incorporated into the latest version of Hidden Forums):
https://bbpress.org/plugins/topic/hidden-forums/page/5/#post-3412
This fixed my pagination…
In reply to: Support for 0.9 – how long?bbPress has several fathers. Matt did a lot of the early work… and Michael (mdawaffe) took over for a while too:
In reply to: first post different from the otherThere are some tips on how to do just that here!

In reply to: Navigation errorMake sure to follow all the instructions here!

In reply to: Navigation errorI ran into a similar issue with paging. I forget how I fixed it – I think maybe I switched to this plugin for pagination?
In reply to: Support for 0.9 – how long? The end of next year sounds good to me too. I’m willing to support 0.9 questions in the forums in the meantime…
In reply to: Showing page count per topic on the front pageI believe that functionality is built into version 1.0.
Here is the plugin version, for version 0.9:

Which bbPress version are you using?
In reply to: .pot files / localizationSam mentioned yesterday it would be aut0-generated sometime today:
The pot will be auto-generated within 24 hours and will be here:

In reply to: Bbpress avatar problemAh, some other users have reported similar issues getting that plugin to work with the alphas… this tweak seems to have done the trick:
https://bbpress.org/plugins/topic/avatar-upload/page/6/#post-2145
Are you on 1.0? Maybe the tweak will work on 1.0 as well…
In reply to: Bbpress avatar problemI think there are a few different avatar plugins… which one are you using?
In reply to: Just installed – Setup/installation (user?) Error?Regarding bbPM… which version of the plugin are you using? There’s a mention of a “development version” of the plugin in the comments of the plugin page…
Also, there was some mention of similar issues from other users using bbPM with the 1.0 release:
https://bbpress.org/plugins/topic/bbpm/page/6/#post-3781
Have you experimented with htaccess edits?
In reply to: MD5 Password HashesWhat plugin are you using on the WordPress side to convert your WordPress passwords?
In reply to: MD5 Password HashesThis plugin allows you to use MD5 hashing in bbPress (not sure if it works in v 1.0 though):
https://bbpress.org/plugins/topic/md5-insecurity-for-bbpress/
What versions of WordPress and bbPress are you using?
In reply to: bbPress 1.0 released@frooyo – I agree that changing the name to Release Candidate greatly increased community involvement. Marking a release as 1.0 stable seems like a scary way (to me) to increase involvement! But maybe the release will be stable, and my skepticism is unwarranted. Looking forward to seeing how the release goes.
But can I ask that you please not attack active members of the bbPress community? _ck_ has done more than almost any other volunteer to help extend the power of bbPress. I’ve seen a number of open source projects where someone is told that if they disagree with something, they should shut up and just fork the code. I hope that bbPress doesn’t become one of those sorts of projects.
Good luck with the release Sam!
In reply to: PerformanceWhat version of bbPress are you using?
In reply to: 1.0 RC – How to force all post into 1 category? You could probably hide the pulldown using CSS?
In reply to: Convert WP Super Cache plug-in for bbPress ?Frooyo – I think you are going to set a record for posting the same thing over and over!
In reply to: Integrating logins between bbPress and other appHow will you handle namespace collisions between the two systems… i.e. if there is an “andrew” account in both user tables?
In reply to: Integrating logins between bbPress and other app_ck_ wrote a bit here about the four routines you need to replace to get authentication with an outside user system working:
https://bbpress.org/forums/topic/integration-with-non-wp-software
Would you combine both user tables into a single system, and have them both authenticate through bbPress? Or only use your existing user system for login, and allow signed in users to use your bbPress app?
In reply to: navigation bar in BuddyPress in BBPressThis is probably possible through a custom plugin. But you probably want to ask over at the Buddypress forums…
In reply to: Would this be the right thing for me?Yes, you can integrate your user databases and then cookie integrate.
Two questions:
* Do you want to combine your two user account systems? If so, how will you handle it when two accounts have the same name in each system?
* What version of WordPress are you using?
In reply to: support forum plugin errorIt’s a known bug with the plugin. There’s a patch posted on the plugin page, but it looks like it hasn’t been incorporated into the official distribution:
https://bbpress.org/plugins/topic/support-forum/page/3/#post-1565
Is it possible there’s any extra whitespace (an extra line or space) in the plugin… either before the <?php or after the ?> ?
In reply to: Logging Out Error? This plugin should do something similar, and hopefully won’t give you any errors.
In reply to: Topic slugs & numeric IDsWhen you run this query, does your old URI show up anywhere?
SELECT * FROM bb_topicmeta WHERE meta_key=’uri’
As for the word “slugs”, I’m pretty sure it comes from typesetting.
