_utma and _utmb are from Google Analytics!

In reply to: bbPress subscription pluginYou could do that with a third plugin for sure. I haven’t automated it because rebilling through Paypal is a pain… so I have someone manage it manually.
I think WordPress MU has a plugin that does something similar. Maybe you could adapt that?
In reply to: bbPress subscription pluginHere’s a plugin that allows you to restrict access – I use it together with a custom Role to run a premium pay-only forum for one of my sites:
https://bbpress.org/plugins/topic/hidden-forums/
But we have to handle the Paypal subscriptions manually… it’s a bit of a pain, but worth it of course!
In reply to: Fatal Error on Plugin ActivationHmm, so maybe it wasn’t just “Simple Onelinelist”… there could be another problematic plugin.
What plugins are you using? And did you have these problems on 0.9?
In reply to: Fatal Error on Plugin ActivationThis is the only similar error report I can find… here was a potentially helpful reply:
Last time that happened to me, it was “plugins go wild” and there were ridiculous amounts of extra entries in my meta tables in the DB. I have also seen this with bad plugins in general for whatever reason. It could also come from a bad plugin on the WP side of things if you have integration. First place I would check would be the user and site meta tables for both bbPress and WP.
https://bbpress.org/forums/topic/fatal-error-allowed-memory-size
Curious how your meta tables look… and if they have extra entries, which plugin is being “bad”!
In reply to: Where to download latest version 0.9Wow… that’s incredibly aggressive given that 1.0 hasn’t had time to be field tested, and also the state of 1.0 plugins.
Sam, can 0.9 be restored as an easily available option? It can be played down if you’d like – even something low key like the WordPress release archives would be great:
In reply to: "The tag was not removed."Try activating the default Kakumei theme and deleting a tag, just to be sure?
If that doesn’t work, it could be a bug with v 1.0… in which case, please post the report to trac!
In reply to: "The tag was not removed."Someone reported a similar issue:
https://bbpress.org/forums/topic/bbpress-10-released#post-37903
Apparently some themes use AJAX to delete tags… those are now broken I think?
If you use a default theme like Kakumei, can you delete the tag?
In reply to: Upgrade to 1.0.1 breaks registrationAh ok.
While we wait for someone to weigh in on this, quick obligatory question: are you using WordPress as well? If so, what version… and have you integrated signin?
In reply to: Upgrade to 1.0.1 breaks registrationJust to be sure, try a fresh copy of the default theme and see if it works?
In reply to: topics and psots appearing twiceIt seems better now – thanks! Was it an issue with plugins or the core?
In reply to: Limit # of visible posts for not logged usersThis is the closest plugin, I think:
https://bbpress.org/plugins/topic/force-login/
Maybe it could be adapted to do what you described?
In reply to: Test Version 1.0 on Godaddy and Not workingSomeone reported a similar issue with Godaddy – try this?
https://bbpress.org/forums/topic/cannot-select-db-error-and-godaddycom
In reply to: topics and psots appearing twiceAh sorry Chris – I should’ve been more specific! Yah exactly what JD mentioned… the first four are doubles of the second four Topics Started.
On my profile, the first two Topics Started are doubles:
https://bbpress.org/forums/profile/johnhiler
Your profile page seems all right, as far as I can tell:
https://bbpress.org/forums/profile/chrishajer
But _ck_ has her first two topics repeated twice:
In reply to: topics and psots appearing twiceI dunno if this is related… but check out the “doubling” of Topics Started on the profile pages:
https://bbpress.org/forums/profile/sambauers
I think bbpress.org is using v 1.0? Not sure if it’s an issue with the core or a plugin…
In reply to: Support for 0.9 – how long?Ah ok, I was just wondering if there was an implication that 0.9 doesn’t have a working integration with WordPress! Thanks for clarifying.
I definitely agree that it’s not as seamless as it could be…
In reply to: Support for 0.9 – how long?Hey Ryan – It should be possible to integrate version 0.9 with just about any version of WordPress (including 2.7)… except for 2.8? That’s only broken because WordPress decided to change how they handled cookies and broke bbPress integration in the process…
In reply to: Looking for BBPress ExpertThe Reputation plugin should work with 0.9:
https://bbpress.org/plugins/topic/bb-reputation/
How is it broken for you?
In reply to: Looking for BBPress ExpertYah, _ck_’s reputation plugin isn’t compatible with version 1.0. Your best best is to either use version 0.9, or not use the reputation plugin at all.
There are a number of avatar plugins – I’m pretty sure at least some of them work in version 1.0. Which plugin were you trying to configure?
What do you mean about not being able to delete posts… if you’re an administrator or keymaster, you should be able to delete any posts? Do you still have problems if you disable all plugins?
In reply to: Multiple Languages? You can install a pulldown which enables your visitors to switch the language of the interface:
https://bbpress.org/plugins/topic/bbpress-language-switcher/
As long as all the languages are LTR, you should be ok I think? If some of the languages you’d like to support are RTL, it gets a lot trickier…
In reply to: Support for 0.9 – how long?I don’t understand why this has to be a zero sum game. Why does version 0.9 have to be disparaged? I don’t mind if it’s criticized for technical reasons or for weak features… but to have its stability attacked is a real shock.
I will wait and see what Sam has to say about all this.
In reply to: Support for 0.9 – how long?Frooyo – What defines a stable release… whether or not it has a version 1.0 number on it?
In reply to: bbPress CodexSam mentioned that he’d be making an official bbPress Codex the week after 1.0 came out… so maybe we’ll get an official one soon.
In reply to: Support for 0.9 – how long?My site is # 10 on the list of top sites, with just over 150k posts:
http://bbshowcase.org/forums/view/top100
I’m going to be staying on 0.9 for now. I’m not sure what to do about the upgrade path… I’m going to try 1.0 on some test servers, but so far I haven’t seen a reason to upgrade yet.
In reply to: Getting Plugin URLYou can submit plugins here:
https://bbpress.org/plugins/forum/requests
Once they’re approved, you’ll get a bbPress URL for your plugin.
