I have used Photobucket for years and hosted thousands of images from there onto many sites.
I find it to be the most reliable and easy to use, it can be slow at times as it does have adverts but it does work and does have the privacy they need:

When an album is private:
Photos and videos in the album do not display in Photobucket search results.
Your followers will not see photos uploaded to the album.
You will not see images you upload to the album on your Profile page.
You may share without allowing viewers access to the entire album.”
There is a fix here that works and the formatting is perfect as far as I can see.

I am using S2.
I am not using either of those plug ins.

All pre and post WP4.0 first posts in topics are missing, we have implemented a temporary fix but the problem clearly lies in whatever the update has done.
It is noted that turning S2 off will solve the problem, this is not an option for us.
That suggests to me that S2 does not work with the latest version of Wpress.
Desperately need help as this will be affecting my income..
