Nevermind, I found the “Reset Forums” tab under the Tools section. That did the trick.

However, every time I deactivate the bbPress forum, I can’t access the forums unless I reset. Something weird is going on there…

@netweb, Thank you! Too bad it’s a little “hacky” but I think this will be temporary anyway. We’re looking at a site redesign soon, but at least we’ll have the forum working.

Thanks for taking a look, Lynq. I’m no HTML/CSS expert… but this layout follows a lot of three column tutorials that you’ll see online.

    http://css.maxdesign.com.au/floatutorial/tutorial0901.htm

Unless I’m missing something, neither of these float the conent section. Floats are only left and right, correct?

Will a future update correct the “freshness” date? As is, it’s the time of the conversion, not the actual freshness of the topic/post.

I’m getting the same errors that scribu described. I added his code to the config file, and I’m still getting that error.

bbpress 1.1 and latest bbpress plugin (as of today).

Standard integration, all plugins off and themes set to default.

Just to expand on my “+1” post…

I have two standalone forums that will not be upgraded to the plugin version.

I have another forum that I plan on upgrading in the near future.

A little organization (which bbPress does easily) will cut down on a lot of confusing support questions. And make life easier for those of us who use standalone and plugin.

@JJJ That did the trick. Thanks!

I am using the Maintenance Mode plugin for WP until I launch my new site. With bbPress plugin installed, I am redirected from /wp-admin to /login. The only way to login is to delete the bbPress plugin or the Maintenance Mode plugin.

Just a word of warning for those who may be doing the same…

Great news! Thanks JJJ and Gautam.

I updated yesterday and I’m getting a similar error on recount:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /path/to/html/forums/bb-admin/includes/functions.bb-recount.php on line 141

This does get frustrating. I run three bbPress forums and I don’t read the buddypress forums, I don’t subscribe to any feeds and don’t log in to the WordPress dashboard unless I’m working on some Pages (I don’t use WP to blog), so there would have been no way for me to hear this news unless I came here. And still, it wasn’t posted here for two weeks.

Some may find Kevinjohn’s posts to be overly dramatic, but he DOES have a point.

A conversion script will be bundled with the plugin, however since bbPress doesn’t come with an export tool, it will probably happen at the database level and not via an XML import/export.

JJJ, forgive me if I missed this elsewhere on the forum… will the conversion script come with RC1? Or will that be in a later update?

I checked my access logs for that day, and couldn’t find anything out of the ordinary. Lots of registrations from the non-anonymous spammers, and lots of wp-cron.php for that domain. The forum is integrated with WP.

If anybody would like to have a look at the logs, let me know and I can send them your way. I’m not 100% sure what to look for.

@3leggedcat I’ve been out of town, and haven’t had a chance to look into it yet. As I stated in my original post, there hasn’t been activity on that forum in a year, so for now I just took it offline. I’ll be looking into it when I get home.

@Ben L. These posts were made long after I have deleted an account. With a deleted account, they wouldn’t be able to log in a year later and post spam.
