@Arturo
Nice work mate!
Just a glitch in images of pagination.
Any chances of releasing it in public?
@wemaflo
You are lucky!
I just hit the nail, you see
Well if you are looking for free option, then may be you are out of luck but if you are looking fo a paid option, then the sun is under your umbrella
@wemaflo
The link that @Michael R gave is for previous version of BuddyPress. (Good Resource!)
But I see you want for the latest version 1.2+
@Gautam is right about installing bbPress within BuddyPress or if you already have one, then you can link that too (I haven’t tried that yet but it should work easily).
And if you want to run a standalone version with BuddyPress for some reason (may be because the limit that forums are within group only), then you are out of luck as nothing exists for now.
yeah use display names, where can one see email address?
Or am I missing something here?
Yeah but u can’t have standalone forums in BuddyPress 1.2
They are limited to groups only. Some find it a problem.
Just write the code how you want bbPress to handle passwords (the way your app does) and then put it in functions.php to override the function defined in pluggable file
@deejaywoody
it just shows up the latest discussions
forums will be within groups and not site wide in BuddyPress’s latest version
You can set roles for unassigned roles and specify default roles for new members but if you change the role of a member, it is not reflected at other end.
I find this limiting thing as a feature to have even more control on things.
Just finish the installation. It will create a random password which you can change afterwards.
This will help playing with bbPress – http://blog.ashfame.com/bbpress/
By the way, you can just drop the bbPress files in a folder and install it like WordPress. Ditto method.
And if you want to integrate it as well, then you can find the link to tutorial on the resource page.
I have sent you an email too.
1.0 wouldn’t be affected nothing will change in database but in 0.9 it will expect data as per 0.9 whereas it will be available as 1.0
Just change the prefix for 0.9 and reinstall
Weird!! (More exclamations)
Here is my bbPress resource page
http://blog.ashfame.com/bbpress
does the admin link show up when you login?
if no, try this http://blog.ashfame.com/2009/09/fix-lost-admin-access-bbpress/
and if yes, then try loggin in from bbPress and not from WordPress
Use Firebug addon in Firefox to catch up with CSS.
Right click on any element > Inspect element and its CSS goes at the right hand side. Play with it.
I agree but it doesn’t happen to serve out that small glitch of dashboard access.
Will get back on the subject after this weekend vacation.
Hi,
I tried contacting you by email but had no success (it says it has been delayed).
I can work for you.
Email me – ashishsainiashfame[at]gmail<<<dot>>>com
Weird! Try different browser for once
Why would we want to redirect everything to WordPress, its bbPress’s dashboard which becomes unaccessible when we login from WordPress side?
If we would want to redirect everything to bbPress, then it could be avoided else the small glitch will continue.
Any thoughts?
@kevin
What have you possibly solved?
