Most probably Facebook changes have broken the code of this plugin. Unless someone fixes that, there might not be a chance of getting it to work.

Don’t confuse Private messaging plugin with the bbPM plugin. The latter one is a great plugin. Go ahead and use it.

Also Ben (plugin author) is already working on a bbPM version which is for the new bbPress (WordPress plugin).
bbPM is a good private messaging plugin & if its not getting updates, it doesn’t mean it need updates.

There is a timeout limit after which the user can’t edit their posts. You can change it in the settings, if you want.
Not sure but I doubt it has something to do with the database collation. Try installing with a database which has its collation set to utf8_unicode_ci
You will have to deal with that padding anyway.
To change the avatar size, create a new theme by copying the bbpress-twentyten theme to your WordPress themes directory and changing its name in style.css and then at line 53 of the file bbpress/loop-forums.php (can be the wrong file) look for bbp_author_link function. You will see the size as 14 there, change it to a bigger size.

This padding is ruining it. Other than that size is ok, you can change it too though.

bbPress search is not good enough and looking at the results it seems fine, nothing is wrong with it.
It doesn’t return good results as per your expectations but technically its working fine.
If you are using the new bbPress plugin, then your problem is already solved. Users are registered once and they will work both on your shopping cart plugin & forums.

You are using the bbPress plugin and not the standalone version.
Themes for standalone version aren’t compatible with the plugin one.
What you need is some CSS fixes because the forums are already under your WordPress theme.
Sounds like you are using the standalone version. Its a bbPress theme so it will be visible in bbPress dashboard and not in WordPress dashboard.

Caching is pretty much useless for logged in members & plugin doesn’t cache them either, so there will be no caching when users are logged in & I believe forum pages will be cached as usual WordPress pages when users are not logged in.
