Well that is what I have been looking for though, you guys say just remove the breadcrumb from the files or the pages, but like I said these files don’t seem to exist any where, like I said I’ve deleted the entire theme folder and they are still there haha, how is that possible???

I don’t care about that, I’m just trying to find where those lines are.

So it is in the functions.php file?

Does this little bit of code in the functions.php work? Is this the plugin you are talking about?

    https://bbpress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/1575

I’ve actually tried using the search bar here several times but it wasn’t working for a while, it was just bring up a broken page (I don’t think it was a 404). But it seems to be working now.

Is there any way to create two separate search bars? Or drop down options like in Buddypress to search Members, Groups, Forums, Posts?

If possible I’d like to request the option to list tags like regular categories or archive lists. A “cloud” seems like a neat plugin or css feature, but when you just want a basic list it can be very frustrating.

I have been having the same problem, tags don’t do anything. Using either the beta version of WordPress or stable version, and current plugin verion of bbPress, everything straight out of the box.

I hate to keep bringing up Buddypress integration, but by “not directly” I assume that means the new version of Buddypress and its groups will still be based off the old stand alone bbpress?

And when the two plugins are installed separately (Buddypress and the new bbpress plugin) a user’s bbpress activity is not yet built to feed into the Buddypress activity stream/wall/wire/whatever?

Does not directly integrate with Buddypress yet, does that mean it will when the new 96% finished Buddypress drops?

Yeah it’s the plugin version I am playing with. I just discovered the page template that is in the default theme folder for recent topics. So I created a /discussions page and also gave my forum base the slug /discussions and it seems to be working, I don’t know if that could lead to any conflicts or not though?

I will look through the sticky topic to see about the tags. Thanks.

“I know it is still not finished, but I was just playing around with a local installation and had bbpress up and working, but when I activated Buddypress it completely stopped bbPress, pages would just redirect to the blog’s front page.”

    I completely disagree with you.

Yeah my understanding was always that the two were going to have some obvious basic integration options, nothing heavy.

You could look at Buddypress as a bbPress plugin that gives you some extra profile information and a “wall.” And you could look at bbPress as a Buddypress plugin that allows you to address the entire site including people you haven’t friended.

Nice. Is there a codex type deal describing what those changes are? Or do you mean a few small built in changes that you all are working on?

    Thanks.

Will there be basic integration at least? As in one user account for both applications? Personally that is all I have been waiting on for a project. That would be enough to get the project off the ground, then extra integrated features could come further down the line through version updates.

Is there a basic timeline eta on this project? All those ticket/trac/whatevers make no sense to me.

If you are talking about one reply per page style threads like creativecow.com please do not, that is the most annoying forum to follow in the world.

Someone also mentioned the forums/forum/thread problem and I agree, I would like if possible the option to just go http://www.sitename.com/forum/threadname. Not every market or group needs that much organization. And being able to rename “forum” to something else would be nice also, I don’t know if that is already possible or not, I’ve been trying to be patient and just wait until it is done.

Are you still required to use the Twenty Ten theme? Or was that just something during the development process?

Is this the version that is suppose to be compatible with Buddypress?

Further down the line, are you planning the structure the urls?

where did you download the plugin?

So is this going to be ready today or pushed back again?

So each blog/post/article/whatever would not only have comments and a comment form below it? But it would also have an option to create an entire thread/discussion about a specific aspect of that blog post? So instead of one giant list of every kind of comment possible, there could be multiple discussions/threads branching off based on the original blog topic?

If that is what you are suggesting I think that is an awesome idea. Just looking at any article on Smashing Magazine and the usefulness of something like that is pretty obvious.
