I have them both installed and my blog and bbpress are not integrating. what else do i need to do?

that's too funny, so neither plugins integrate bbpress & wordpress ? are they picking their noses or what, sometimes i wonder if anyone is paying attention to things that don't make sense, people can get confused easily

There is a lot of confusing posts here. Can anyone please list step by step guide, possibly short to integrate these:
1. When user registers from wordpress ? He/She can login from the forum.
2. When user registers from the forum ? He/She can login from the WP
3. A simple code that would take the header part of any WP theme and use it in the Forum. So far when I register from BBforum, the usercan login from WP. No problem Works like a charm!
Now, please tell us simple methods to integrate site so forum and the wplooks the same. Also those who would like to show the categories, recent posts etc, can also do that on the right or left sidebar? How can we integrate trully as if the forum is coming out of WP ?
Anyone please.

Well I'm testing the integration and I've installed the bbpress integration plugin to wordpress and the wordpress integration plugin to bbpress. Although the integration doesn't work. The users registered via Wordpress cannot login to bbpress et vice versa... I'm a bit confused :) so I'll be grateful for any advice ;)

O.K. I've made it work... Everything you need to do is to set the table prefix in your config.php to wp_ (or whatever you use for wordpress : ) )

Anybody tried this with current version of Worpress 2.3 and 0.8.3 of bbPress?
Posted: 9 months ago # -
I have integration working fine, so far, with WP 2.3 and bbP 0.8.3, using WordPress Integration 0.7 and bbPress Integration 0.74. bbPress was an add-on to an existing WP blog, I added it when I upgraded to 2.3.
It's all working fine as far as it's been tested. I can work in bbPress after logging in through WP, and there have been subscribers through bbPress who have posted topics and also show up fine in WP. That's as much use as it's gotten, and there was no problem with installing everything.
So if you're having trouble, there's hope. :)

im having serious issues.Posted: 3 months ago # -
it worked for me, except that when a user posts a comment they are seen as "anonymous"

My biggest problem with getting this working was not following the directions correctly, but the fact that I had to dig deep and read through a lot of other stuff made it worse. I wish there was better documentation on this stuff!
In config.php, make sure that your prefix is set correctly. Also, when I took the www. off my URLs in config.php (like in my wp-config) some of the problems cleared up. I tried to install bbSync at this point and completely whacked everything. Then I finally read tbronson's post above and started over. Thank you tbronson!
Everything appears to be working now, although I haven't gone live or tested it extensively. I'll try bbSync again after I do a little more research.

This plugin is no longer required under bbPress 0.9
The built-in features of bbPress now supersede the functionality that this plugin provided.
