Is there a way to have bbpress automatically create a new discussion every time a WordPress post is published. Basically – I post to my WP blog and a related bbPress topic is created where people can discuss the WP post?
Just wondering if it can be done and if so how hard is it to implement?
Thanks to exists !!!
)’m an spanish developper but ) have a “little” problem:
I’ve installed the bbPress forum in my web but when my users sends some comment, normally they insert some link or url and I would like this link don’t open in the same IE page, ) explain: I would insert in my html script the modified tag “target = ‘_blank’ ” and when someone click on, they will open a new IE page. Could you tell me where’s the script who controls this?
thank you again.
Since I have no idea where else to put it, I’ll just do it here.
My suggestions:
1) All functionality of bbPress (duh)…
2) 1 (optional) core myplugins folder. Plugins in this folder are accesable for all forum owners/admins. This way we don’t have to upload all plugings for each new forum that is created for a new person…
3) 1(optional) core template folder. Like 2, but then with themes …
Do i need to use Mu WordPress 1.5.1 to get Session integration to fully work with bbpress? I tried it with MUWP 2.6 and it seemed as though the cookies wouldn’t cross over. Thanks for the help! I will get to trying this soon if no one has given me the thumbs down..

I’m working right now on Static Pages plugin (and y’know what? It’s working!) but I want to include working mod_rewrite for them, so with active MultiViews I will be able to type domain.com/page/about/ for example.
But – I have no idea where to look for any functions, options or anything that might help me in discovering “how the heck to make this?” Any advices?
In bbPress there’s a function “<?php bb_location(); ?>” – can this be used to create something like this:
if ( current page is front page only ) :
echo "something";
endif;
I need to display welcoming box only on my front page, but I don’t really understand what this how to use bb_location() for this (if this is possible at all)
How do I set up bbPress to interact with a newsgroup similar to this website (http://www.vistax64.com/)?
I’m a bit confused to if bbpress will be compatible with wordpress 2.6, will it be? And can you guesstimate when we might see something?
I’d love to be able to use bbpress but I’m running 2.6 so may have to look for something else, not sure if there are any good alternatives?
I get this message, I tried delete the config.php, rename it, re-config… and always the same reply:
–An old config.php file has been detected in your installation. You should remove it and run the installer again. You can use the same database connection details if you do.–
some ideas?
Is it possible w/o having to download anything else to be able to download previous versions of bbPress out of the svn directory? (http://svn.automattic.com/bbpress/tags/0.7.3/)
