Please include the version of bbPress you’re using when asking for help. If you are having trouble with WordPress integration, please post the bbPress version AND the WordPress version. If you are using an alpha or trunk release, please include the revision number. It will cut down on the time wasted answering questions that don’t apply to your version, or the back and forth of “what version are you running.”
Thanks.
Does anyone know how I can prevent the tags or any reference to tags from being displayed?
I just want to eliminate the tag function in general.
I am going through the process of filling out the integration form in the bbpress control panel. It suggested that the users prefix was likely to be wp_ so I tried that out. Now I can’t login to bbpress, it’s complaining “bbPress database error: [Table ‘addiva_bbpress.wp_users’ doesn’t exist]”
So I want to keep experimenting with what it needs, but I can’t progress since I can’t log back into the control panel. How do I get around this?
Once I get this forum installed, I plan to manually add a number of users from an old yahoogroup, and I’m wondering if we’d be better off entering them into the wordpress database, or into the bbpress database?
I’ve recently installed Alpha 1.0 with a WP 2.6 install.
Was able to integrate with one major bug: when a user logs in using the bb-press form, it passes authentication, but goes to a white screen of death!
But, if user logs in using WP, everything is fine.
How can I redirect the link that BB-Press automatically generates for the user to login to the WP login form? and then maybe redirect them back to the topic they were looking at?
I’ve installed wordpress and bbpress im using the plugin call register plus attached to the wordpress installation. both wordpress and bbpress are integrated but i cant get regsiter plus to integrate. It works with word press and clients can use there user name and password on bbpress… BUT…. when cleints try and register on bbpress it uses th default bbpress registration. can anyone help me redirect bbpress registration to the reister plus plugin?
I’ve installed the latest trunk build (1651) along with WP 2.6 and installation went perfect, user integration works great. Everything seems fine, except when I try to activate a plugin, it activates (according to the activate/deactivate link) but it really doesn’t. No settings links in the admin menu, no effect anywhere in the forum, so there is no actual activation. I’ve tried replacing bb-admin/plugins.php and admin-functions.php with earlier versions from previous trunk installs that worked fine, but no effect. I don’t even get any error messages.
Does anyone have a clue where I could look to figure this out?
Yikes, this is a WP bug that breaks bb_auth(‘logged_in’).
I patched the appropriate file in WP and created a ticket and posted the patch. See this URL:

Whoah, there’s a ton of stuff not working fully yet with bbpress/wp now, right? I hope I don’t find anything else…
Hey go to www.proveit4cash.com/bbpress and you willl see that everything is all texty looking. It worked fine when i went to sleep I think. Any Ideas?
I have a WP/BB intergrated site, working fine. However, I want to do a member list display. There are plugins for both WP and BB, but the data collected for registration on BB and WP is different. How can I sync up what data is collected and then displayed on one of the plugins?
