No Analytics for Admins

Published on September 8th, 2009 by AdventureCanoe

What if I wanted to only display my Google Analytics code for everyone but me…

I know this is probably simple but I don’t want to mess it up and loose tracking. I need something that says

if <> admin then

display google tracking code

end if

The problem is I am an old ASP guy and trying to learn this php stuff.

Kakumei theme is the way to go !!

Published on September 8th, 2009 by Fantastic Leman

I don’t know how logical I am in my head (maybe too much alcohol just now !!), but if simplicity is beauty, and if less means more, for me, Kakumei is the best theme. No fancy cosmetics. Default theme is the way to go.

In short, I really love Kakumei theme. It’s so cool, and I mean it.

Installation Constantly Breaks

Published on September 8th, 2009 by HeroicNate

I’ve been trying to install the latest version of bbpress, but every time it installs it’s giving an error it can’t create the forum. It makes no sense. And then whenever I try to reinstall it says bbpress is already installed and it won’t do anything.

Installing bbPress

Published on September 8th, 2009 by InvTrdr

I downloaded the zip file and it unzipped itself into a folder. When I tried to upload the folder in my root (html) directory it will not do so as a folder but as individual files. Is that ok and what will be the URL if I upload it into the root (html) directory to access the forums as admin?

Also I am using WP 2.8.4, so do I need to use the WP Integration Plugin with it?

Thank you.

Display the latest discussions titles into a webpage

Published on September 8th, 2009 by

What if I want to show some of the latest discussions inside my site home page? Just titles (with links) would do. Is there any way one can grab them, perhaps as RSS, and display them into a page? I know, as an example, this is currently done for twitter posts. What about bbpress discussions?

can i use the login system for my own script

Published on September 8th, 2009 by enatom

Can i use the login sessions of bbpress for my own custom script ? so people register and login through bbpress, and the session carries on to my custom script outside of the bbpress folder/installation.

Logged out from WP, still logged in on BBP

Published on September 8th, 2009 by pixelgirl

Hi,

well, the topic title says it. It works fine when I log on to WP, click on forums getting logged in to bbpress. But when I log out from WP, I still stay logged on the forums, although my buddybar is showing that I’m not logged… Weird thing, can anyone explain this? It would be good when I can login/out from WP including the forums. Deep integration was done already, but I have no idea what went wrong on this issue.

Maybe someone experienced the same?

integration problems after upgrad

Published on September 7th, 2009 by

I had my test bbpress and my wordpress site working well. WP 2.7.1 and bbpress 1.0 I updated my wordpress site this weekend to 2.8 and now the integration doesn’t work.

Not only does the login not work across the site, but when I login to one it logs me out of the other.

I have went through all the steps that I did initially to integrate the sites, but haven’t figured out the change. I’m wondering if it has to do with the bbpress integration plugin?

"next page" link redirects to WordPress login page

Published on September 7th, 2009 by annejan

I installed the latest bbPress version (1.0.2) and integrated in WordPress 2.8.4.

Everything seems working, but only the footer navigation with the “next page” links don’t work.

I think it is a conflict between the htaccess files of bbPress and WordPress.

If I switch Options -MultiViews to Options +MultiViews, the “next pages” work.

But from that moment the topic page redirects to /topic/17475/page/17475 (the latest number isn’t correct).

Anyone a solution? Thanks in advance.
