Latest Topics, under "hot tags"?

Published on March 12th, 2011 by Anonymous User

Can someone please explain how I can move the “latest topics” in the forum home, above forum categories to right below the hot tags left side column?

I actually only want the topic titles to display too.

Also, how can I manually display number of topics and posts per forum category? I totally revamped the front forumhome page, but want to manually output the # of topics/posts per category as well.

Thanks.

Failed installation

Published on March 12th, 2011 by 3hreedee

Hi all,

I tried to install the bbpress plugin through my website and it said that the installation had failed.

When I tried to install it again it now says the directory already exists.

Can anyone assist?

Thanks.

Registration problem with bb_press.org and wordpress.org

Published on March 11th, 2011 by Beeblbrox

I have a bb_press account here (obviously else I wouldn’t be posting).

I went to create an account at WordPress.org was told my username was already taken… thinking I may have just forgotten I created one and lost the password tried to use the password reset.

I received a reset email addressed to the address I used for bb_press.org signup – so obviously the databases are linked.

I requested a reset through the link on the first email, WordPress.org told me an email had been sent with new password to the address they have on file.

The email never arrived.

Tried again, same results.

Came here, reset my password here, the reset process completed fully (although bb_press.org told me I had an ‘invalid key’ when logging in with my new password, but nonetheless here I am logged in anyway).

Tried to login to WordPress.org with new password, no dice.

Couldn’t find a way to contact admins so posting here.

Am I missing something or bbpress does not have any block system? Im so used to joomla or other cms where blocks are used to place anything anywhere. I hope its available.

bbPress WP plugin needs more action hooks

Published on March 11th, 2011 by Mike Challis

I want to add support for bbPress to SI CAPTCHA Anti-Spam plugin.

https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/si-captcha-for-wordpress/

I cannot find the needed do_action hooks.

/bbp-themes/bbp-twentyten/bbpress

I started looking in these templates, they do not have the action hooks that would let me add a CAPTCHA:

form-topic.php

form-anonymous.php

Cannot Edit Users

Published on March 11th, 2011 by aaironman

I’ve just installed bbPress and integrated with WordPress. All was well until I renamed the file folder to “forums” from “bbPress”. Everything is working perfectly except I cannot edit user profiles! They can register and all else seems to work on the site and the Admin, just no editing the user profile pages (either from the forum or from admin).

When I attempt to edit user profile it switched to my WordPress and gives me a “Error 404: Page Not Found”.
