Hello!
Is there a way that I can add target=”_blank” to all website links that are inputted on forum posts?
Is this an option or will this need to be hard coded?
Thanks!

Hi guys,
I installed the bbpress but I didn’t the integration with wordpress. So I tried to do now but not work. How do I do to reset installation of bbpress and to get the integration with data of wp-config.php file? Anyone please? Thanks.
If using a theme where pages contains subjects and user names of other pages, using Google to find pages in the forum will give lots of false hits. Like if I use in Google
site:terapisnack.com social fobi knet99
this will not only give pages with my nick about the subject, but also lots of false hits on pages where I at the time the crawler was there, I was listed in the section “Senaste inläggen” (most recent posts) at the bottom of the page.
So how is this solved, and are there mutiple options how to solve this?
I assume one would be to have a separate “clean theme”, that only contains what we want the web crawler to see, and switch theme on user agent? Is this support built into bbPress, or is there a plugin that can do this?
Or is there some meta tag that can control what part of a page a crawler will ignore? I.e. just change the existing theme some?
Or some other solution?
Any advice is welcome!

I just tried to set the Time Zone in my Admin panel. When I did that, I got a ‘fatal error’ as follows:
Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘Exception’ with message ‘DateTimeZone::__construct() [datetimezone.–construct]: Unknown or bad timezone (UTC-7)’ in /home1/almostan/public_html/leftcoastlogic/blog/forum/bb-admin/options-general.php:180 Stack trace: #0 /home1/almostan/public_html/leftcoastlogic/blog/forum/bb-admin/options-general.php(180): DateTimeZone->__construct(‘UTC-7’) #1 {main} thrown in /home1/almostan/public_html/leftcoastlogic/blog/forum/bb-admin/options-general.php on line 180
It is now impossible to edit Settings -> General in my admin panel, when I click on “General” it jumps to the fatal error message.
Hi, I have started to translate the POT file, but i can’t translate the followings:
%d year
%d month
%d week
etc.
I tried to write into the translation field, but it won’t appear. I’m doing it the same way as with the others.
Any clues?
If I remember correctly, the iBlogPro Forum (using bbPress) shares its database with the WP installation (using iBlog Pro theme). I now need to import my old forum data from my previous forum, which was phpBB. I have a script for that, but to do so I need to connect the bbPress forum to that database. Once I have done so, I will then have a bbPress forum with all of the imported data – nice!
But – after that, how do I then re-integrate with the WP database and the iBlog Pro theme?
As this topic chiefly relates to BuddyPress, I made this post on the buddypress.org website. Go read and comment on the thread there if you’re interested:

Hello I’m new in bbpress.
I want a -new- language file (en.pot) to bbpress 1.0.3
I will translate it to Arabic lang.
Thank you.
So I’m a compentent user / php programmer and maybe I’ve just skipped over the same steps over and over again? Not sure.
My wordpress install operates on the base domain address
www.domain.com
My forums operates on a subdomain address
forums.domain.com
Now bbpress has no problem allowing WP users to log in. However everyone is assigned to an inactive role. Also the user has to sign in again at the bbpress site.
Now I know what you’re going to say about issue 1 – user role mapping has to be setup. Done. Doesn’t work. Weird huh? I even re-submitted my user role mapping, and then created a new user in wp, and logged in as him. He also has no role assigned in bbpress.
And I know what you’ll initially ask about the cookies. I’ve verified my site and blog address (www.domain.com) and I’ve made changes to both wp and bb config.php files for the auth key, secure auth key, and logged in keys to match between the two installations. I’ve also addedd the definitions for cookie_domain (.domain.com) and cookiepath (/). I’ve also cleared all cookies and confirmed the new cookie assigned has the .domain.com address.
(Off-topic, but a lot of content on this site is related to older and outdated versions of software – this site is in dire need of updating. And since wordpress.org uses the forum software you should probably maintain a clean well documented site over here.)
I would like to have bbpress use the wordpress sidebar widget, anyone tell me how?
Secondly, Is it possible to have it so the wordpress frontpage(without using “Pages”) to show the “Announcements” Forum as posts?
