I’m wondering if they is a way that when a user register then a forum post is made for that user registration with they details ?

Hello,

We have some custom functionality set up so usernames are hidden unless you are logged in. But if you hover over a user’s Avatar you can see their name.

Which file controls this so I can shut off the Avatar title?

The User Roles are not translated on the current version of bbpress. How can I translate them? Can I change the Names on the DB?

I want to create a link from the user profile page to their own WP dashboard. For example:

http://user.mydomain.com/wp-admin/

I tried and searched the available functions to build a link like this but I am stuck. I’m no programmer but I think I can do this with a simple custom function.

Does anybody has a suggestion?

Hi there!

I’ve got bbPress up and running for a while and wanted to create a subforum in, well, a parent forum. But when navigating to the newly created subforum I get a 404. Any ideas on this?

I’ve been trying to upgrade from bbpress 1.0.1 to v.2 but have had to put this on hold as the importer always seems to stall while importing (see my other forum post).

In the meantime our DB is now almost at the limit imposed by our hosts (500MB). I’ve noticed that the fulltext index of the posts table contributes a considerable amount to this and wondered if there was a way to disable fulltext search on BBPress as a temporary measure. I appreciate searching would be slower but am willing to accept this compromise for the time being.

I’ve tried deleting the index but this causes the search results page to simply return a white page.

Any help much appreciated.

I have a huge issue ATM on my install. One of my users reported that when editing their post it came up with all the posts of my site to edit. Not the forum post but the front page article posts.

I am using BuddyPress 1.5.6, bbpress 2.1.2 and s2member 120703. They all have ties together so I thought I would list them. Any help would be great as this is presently a HUGE issue

I can install wordpress as my host allowes 1 click install. i have installed bbpress but cant get it looking like what i want.

I really like the layout of this forum here and all the colors so id be happy if someone could clone it.
