In reply to: Allow Users to Edit There Profile Icon on menu Bar
The key to my question is I cannot create a link to a users bbpress profile
This is mine on my URL
https://uktechhub.com/forums/users/uk-sentinel/ as an example as the variable for username changes with each logged in users name ?
this is my profile link on BBPRESS.org
In reply to: Allow Users to Edit There Profile Icon on menu Barideally yes, I have an avatar there already, but it is only visible to logged in users (
I can unhide it if this helps you understand better ?
In reply to: Allow Users to Edit There Profile Icon on menu BarAlmost, when I user logs in, and selects there default avatar located at top right of screen, they then have access to (Passwords change, Profile and Log-Off) but I am looking to change that link / avatar so that the user has access to there replies / Profile Topics Started / Replies Created / Engagements / Favorites / Subscriptions / Edit as you described above
Very much like what happens on this forum 😉
Thank you
In reply to: Allow Users to Edit There Profile Icon on menu BarFYI – My WordPress and BBPress installations are up-to-date and I have an Icon in the Toolbar which when clicked, goes to three option (Dashboard – Change Password and Log-Out) but does not give access to users topics and post being created etc.
If I use the Widget BBPRESS LOGIN LINKS Widgets – and click on the icon, then it gives me access to the profile details I am looking for, but I would like to use this profiles option for the menu (not wideget)
😉
In reply to: bbPress 2.6.4 Remove Default Search BarJust as an update, editing the content-archive-forum.php file worked and the GD Power Search for bbPress plugin now works as expected
Many thanks for your guidance
In reply to: bbPress 2.6.4 Remove Default Search BarUnderstood, will give this a try
Thanks
In reply to: bbPress 2.6.4 Remove Default Search BarHi Robin, just cleared the cache and found that via GD Power Search for bbPress plugin, the default search works, but when I then select advanced search, the page/script for advance search does not appear. Home › Forums › Search ?
I have left it running an my site incase you get a chance to try for yourself, you do not need to be a forum member for searches etc on my site ?
In reply to: bbPress 2.6.4 Remove Default Search BarHi Robin, tried the custom CSS and it worked, thank you
Just to help add weight to this discussion, I also after upgrading to Version 2.6.2 have noticed the Freshness problem, I do not have any caching plugins, but do run bbp style pack.
The – Go to Dashboard, Tools, Forums, Repair Forums, and then click “Run” for “Recalculate last activity in each topic and forum” fixes problem and hopefully and update (perm fix) will be available in the near future 😉
In reply to: bbPress threaded (nested) replies with pagingJust to clarify, when I say lots of Threaded Replies within a Single Topic, I mean a Single Topic that has lots of threaded Replies and posts etc.
I have spent a lot of time researching this particular issues and any guidance most welcomed
Thanks
