I’ve noticed under permalinks wordpress is complaining about access to the .htaccess file; could this cause the problem considering everything else is ok? or am I barking up the wrong tree?In reply to: How to display @username in bbPress?
I would really like to get the @username displayed under a person’s name next to the avatar; the same as these forums; some of my forum users have changed their display names and its making it less user friendly when people try to use @username to get someone’s attention through mentions.
I have read all the info from @johnjamesjacoby above; but it kinda went over my head; ideally I’d love to know exactly what php file to edit and what code to insert and at what specific line/area of said PHP file 🙂 if possible!
Hope someone can help! thanks!
I tried your function and it did fix the avatars; however is also caused the small 14px avatar within the “bbp-topic-description” at the top of the page to detach and appear above the information-notice.
Any ideas why this might be?In reply to: Roles and Capabilities in bbPress 2.2
Admin = Keymaster

Then which role do we assign to make someone a forum moderator??
Do devs read this forum or are we posting in the wrong place?In reply to: bbPress Replies Widget Layout Issue!
Does bbpress have a paid support service where you can actually get support or responses from the devs? The amount of bugs in it….
Widget layout issues, private and hidden forums don’t work properly by disappearing under categories or not tallying topics and posts in the list….
Suprised this isn’t get as much attention, everyone just running public forums?
yup your right. as long as there is at least 1 public sub-forum the rest display without issue; regardless of whether they are private, hidden etc…
.. clearly a code bug in bbpress; will be nice if devs can jump in on this one.
yup; I’ve got this exact same problem. Sub-Forums of a category are disappearing from the forum list random (either when posts are deleted or changes are made to the forum itself).
This only happens with Hidden and Private forums.
Just to add, it almost seems like the form content for bbpress isn’t pushing the div.container margin down for some reason. Is there any CSS code I could add to the bbpress CSS file to force the height of the form to push the div container down to fit?
Removing what I highlight in the image makes the content visable but when reszing the editor it doesn’t resize the container but this all works like a dream when editing the very first post in the thread which is causing me utter confusion…
I’m running the latest version of WordPress and bbPress (forget to mention that, sorry)
