bbPress and WordPress have a 5 minutes install.
Upload the files and access to the folder from your browser.
yoursite.com/bbpress
You just need a database (including user and password).
Good luck

and upload the hole bbPress inthere

In reply to: bbPress 2.0 – Updates@Gautam: right. So weird… If you have the default Permalinks and you change them it doesn’t work. But if you save again it does
I guess the plugin will flush it itself in the future, right?
In reply to: bbPress 2.0 – Updates@alexvorn2 No but like @Gautam said I thought was not necesary
In reply to: bbPress 2.0 – Updates@Gautam @alexvorn2 Yup. I just changed the permalinks to /%postname%/ and still giving me a 404 error.

In reply to: Kakumei Template Design HelpHey John,
1. Sure you can. Replace this image and you’re done http://www.homedesignsense.com/forum/bb-templates/kakumei/images/page_header_tile.png
2. You mean add the blog logo? You can add anything you want. You can do it in the header.php file of your theme
3. I’m not sure of what are we talking about in this 3th point
4. You can find the search box in the header.php file arround the line 33 I guess. Look for the function
<?php search_form(); ?>
Then place it where you want.
Regards.

Thanks all, got it working with this:
if ( $posts ) {
$out = $posts[0]->post_text;
$out = strip_tags( $out );
$out = str_replace( array( "n", "r" ), ' ', $out );
$out = preg_replace( '|/!]*?[^[*?]|si', '', $out );
$out = substr($out, 0, 200); // only display the first 200 characters of the first post
}
echo "n".'<meta name="description" content="'.$out.'" />';In reply to: Feeding topics from external source@Xevo: I think it should not be the same! SEO, SEO!
In reply to: Feeding topics from external sourceIf you open the bb-post.php you’ll notice it retrieve the data from $_POST and not from $_GET
like… $_POST
Maybe you can change that and use $_REQUEST instead.
