In reply to: My First Attempt – Template
It’s good but there could be more margin on both sides of the forum itself.
Perhaps move the adsense section next to the forums to neaer the footer to allow the tags to grow a little bit?
In reply to: Misconception about TagsI agree that tag’s are pretty standard that’s why I said it was too late to change it.
Interesting to know that the search doesn’t work on the tags. OF course it doesn’t really need to when you can simply click on each tag to find the relevant posts!
I’ll probaly edit my forum to clearly state HTML tags.
In reply to: next release ideasMaybe I have misunderstood you but there is already a search function in bbpress. Try opening /search.php
It’s also possible to integrate it on any page.
In reply to: Plugin Requestsear1grey: what you need is already available see:

I tried this one:

but eventually used this one:

You may need to modify your rss2.php and copy it to your my-templates folder.
You can see it in action on my site (link via my username).
Hope that helps.
In reply to: Using RSS FeedsOh, I didn’t realise it was that easy. Thank you.
In reply to: About FreshnessI know it sounds silly but just try different hous until one works. For example try -1, then -2 etc. That’s what I had to do. Fortunately I only needed -7.
Hope that helps.
In reply to: “This topic is not a support question”Great, thanks.
The more I use this forum the more I love it.
You guys have done a great job! Well done.
In reply to: Using RSS FeedsThank you.
So how easy would it be to pull the latest 10 threads onto my wordpress sidebar?
In reply to: “This topic is not a support question”Is there an easy way to remove this feature? My forum is not a support forum, it’s just for chatting and I don’t need this.
TIA
In reply to: Controlling the Number of Latest DiscussionsThanks, you were right on the money!
In reply to: Controlling the Number of Latest DiscussionsWorks for me too. Thanks to both of you!
NO, wait when I try to open the tags.php I recieve this message:
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/username/public_html/forum/my-plugins/latest-topics.php:9) in /home/username/public_html/forum/bb-includes/functions.php on line 1304

In reply to: Can’t Login!When you do a re-install are you dropping the tables from the database? I’m afraid I’m not an expert and that’s the only thing I can think of, sorry!

In reply to: Can’t Login!Everything looks fine to me, although I could be wrong! Might seem a silly question but does your wp dtabase definitely have the ‘wp_’ prefix?
Also there’s a chance that there’s a error somewhere else in the config file. I had to reinstall just to be certain after I corrected my config. I knew immediately everything was fine becasue during the setup I asked presented with a drop-down list of users to choose from. Previously (When I had the config wrong) I didn’t.

In reply to: How do I delete a forum?Thank You
In reply to: Can’t Login!This is what it should look like:
$bb->wp_table_prefix = 'wp_'; // 'wp_'; // WordPress table prefix.
I made the point about TRUE becasue it seems that you never set it to TRUE, you just add the correct prefix.
In reply to: Freshness?OK, that seemed to work. Looks like it had to be set to where the site was hosted. Thanks.
In reply to: Can’t Login!I had the same problem, but after reading the Ulitmate bbPress Guide (http://www.devlounge.net/articles/the-ultimate-bbpress-guide/1/) I realised I had made mistakes on these lines of my config file:
#
$bb->wp_table_prefix = false; // 'wp_'; // WordPress table prefix.
#
$bb->wp_home = false; // WordPress - Options->General: Blog address (URL) // No trailing slash
#
$bb->wp_siteurl = false; // WordPress - Options->General: WordPress address (URL) // No trailing slash
I replaced the FALSE with TRUE instead of adding the actual urls and the
'wp_'
. Your problem might be completely different but maybe you made the same mistake as I did?As a side note it seemed obvious to me that if it wasn’t FALSE then I should set it to TRUE, but maybe not everybody agrees.

In reply to: Freshness?Although I’m not the original poster I have the same problem and tried a few different entries for the $bb->gmt_offset but it changes nothing.
Am I supposed to do anything else other than replace the config file?
IS the offest number supposed to be in quotes or anything?
