In reply to: Hide subforums on homepage
i’ve already tried, all it did was send subforums to the bottom of the list, but not hide them altogether.
bbpress is a hell of a lot faster than phpbb.
as for migration, not sure. better let an expert answer
I want that to be pointed to a particular value in a different database. how would i do that?
ok, cookie found.
and i have a value for it.
is it a simple matter of subbing that value into the line of code in the first post?
what will that do? does it make the chat function use your login name?In reply to: Newsletter by email
i recommend that you put a WP installation on the side and integrate them. You can reap the benefits from some plugins before waiting for a bbpress native version.
??? there is no options>privacy window. just tools, nothing else.In reply to: New Theme – Need Theme NameIn reply to: hide subforums on main page
sorry. im an idiot.
i basically did a front page code transplant, so for all intents and purposes, my theme is kakumei now.
But neither of the above suggestions work. Instead all my subforums just get sent to the bottom of the list.
anyone know how to change the label on the tab ‘Avatar’ to something like ‘Picture’ without screwing up the entire plugin? A simple change of that word screws up the plugin. In reply to: PROFILE – user specified fields
ardentfrost, i am currently using your method now and it’s great.
I have a question however. Instead of a text field like the other ones, how do i make it so one piece of information has a dropbox with a few options instead of a textbox? I know the HTML for it, just wondering how I do the PHP modification.
i’ve always had 1.0, but it is still creating read only directories in ftp! and i can’t delete or modify them in ftp with the domain name account! In reply to: Plugin – Messengers
It seems to be an issue with the mouseover. This is definetely a Google Chrome problem, and this is definetely only a problem on the post edit page.
I’m an impatient guy. I know the solution should be really simple, but I really don’t have much time to wait around.
this problem seems to only be occuring in google Chrome. But not in IE 8.
Is this the first time IE WORKED, and Chrome didn’t? Oh my god.
And this is definetely only occuring on the ‘edit-post’ page, and I have tried messing with the code of the edit-form.php and troubleshooting it, and making it identical to the post-form.php in practically every way, and the problem still happens.
i notice mouseovering over the textbox area or even anything specified between the <label> tags (which has the textbox and the quicktags bar, the B button highlights.
I mean, all the plugin pb– folders with plugins downloaded via the browser.
For some reason, the plugin folder that the browser creates in my FTP are read only, and so are their contents.
Why is this?
I have a bizarre problem.
Sometimes, when editing a post, I will click in the post text box, and it will automatically throw in a tag, and the B button will change to /B.
The thing is, I didn’t click B, I clicked the textbox!
what the hell is going on?
