Hmmm so I’ll have tonfigure that out then? If I do end up figuring it out can I submit it to y’all?
In reply to: trunkwell this is what I’m expecting

they have the catagories, and then in those catagories they have forums, and some of those forums have sub-forums inside of them. Those forums that do have forums are indicated by that little image right before them. Essentially that’s what I thought I was going to see.
Here is my site…
stealthpotatoes.com/boards
the forum titled ‘FireFall’ has a sub-forum inside of it called ‘beta discussions’ so I’m looking for the forum titled ‘firefall’ to have a class on it something like ‘bbp-has-subforums’ so that I can target it with css and add that little image in front of the link, and therefore to all the other forums that also have sub-forums in them.
Maybe you are right, maybe I am missing something somewhere?
In reply to: trunkwell I was running themecompat but when I switched to twenty ten everything looked all messed up and there were still no sub-forum type classes on the forums that had them in there, gosh I’m confused
In reply to: trunkokay this is what I have downloaded using the svn link then, but I still don’t see the sub-forum-count class you were talking about, so why?
In reply to: a way to check for subforumsso did I do something wrong when I checked out the latest using my svn thing?
oh well still what exactly does that mean?
basically I right clicked the folder titled “bbpress” which I emptied before hand, then i click on checkout and added that url, and then it filled the folder with all the files and it works perfectly but no sub-forum related styles?
me = confused
what is truck? I used tortoise svn to get the latest files? I used the url on the download page, did I do something wrong?
In reply to: a way to check for subforumsam I missing something here, I fixed the error I stated above but I don’t see any class on the forums that contain subforums, and I did the sub-version thing with the latest version. Is there something I need to add somewhere?
In reply to: a way to check for subforumsyes I did but I’m having some weird problems with the layout, might be my error, I’ll do some more testing first before I make a new post about it.
Thanks John!
In reply to: a way to check for subforumsit says access is forbidden in tortoisesvn?
never mind
In reply to: a way to check for subforumsso is there a way for me to download the files that add that functionality into 2.1, I have the dev version of it
In reply to: a way to check for subforumsNo I don’t see anything, essentially what I want to be able to do is on the main list of forums, have each forum link that has sub-forums in it have a specific class on it, so I can single that out with css and use styling the show that that forum has sub-forums in it.
Like they do here…
http://forums.ubi.com/forumdisplay.php/45-GRO-North-America
All the forum names that have that little symbol next to it have sub-forums in them. That is exactly what I want to do with my bbpress forum
In reply to: a way to check for subforumsI didn’t ee any specific class but I’ll look again, or are you saying there is a way with PHP?
In reply to: a way to check for subforumsif one of the devs could look at this and see if there is a way to do this?
In reply to: cannot get styling to stickthank you much!
In reply to: cannot get styling to stickLets start simple, I’m trying to change the text from grey to black here on the closed forum and it won’t stick

In reply to: cannot get styling to stickwell it’s not even showing in the chrome inspector, so that’s not going to help, all I know is this is what I have in my stylesheet in my theme folder and it’s not seeing it…
#bbpress-forums ul.topic.status-closed {

}
In reply to: bbPress Plugin – Forum and Topics not showingokay so I just found this little bug that when I change the slug settings under settings > forum to something that does not match the page slug I can see the forums but it looks like this…
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/21413580/bbpress_error.png
But it looks like this when I make the slugs match, which is what it’s supposed to look like. However you can see that now there are no forums at all
the user was given the forum moderator role that was created when I activated bbpress, and I have tried giving them the standard moderator role and still no luck with being able to create forums
In reply to: Trying to make a forum index page.I am also having this problem, I have a page with [bbp-forum-index] on it and have tried updating permalinks, making sure the slug was set right, and even changing the theme like you said and the page still comes up with nothing except the page title on it
In reply to: bbPress Plugin – Forum and Topics not showinghaving this same problem with 2.1 and refreshing the permalinks does not help
In reply to: Way to show sub forums on the home forum pagewell I use buddypress so I have a bbpress folder in my theme with some adjusted files in it already, by the way I am on 2.1
I’m looking for towards how might I achieve this? I saw the template tag but didn’t know if there was a way to tell php to grab the sub-forums of a specific one or not, looking for some guidance on that
still can’t figure this out, can anyone help me out?
