In reply to: Can’t import phpbb 3.2.0
Hi all.
After a lot of testings and experiments in order to get the board running with all the same functionalities I had before in 3.0.14, I tried to install a clean version of 3.20, then install the extensions needed. The tentative was successful so I decided to follow this way to bring my old board to the new version in production mode.
The problem is related to the data migration from 3.0 to 3.2.
I’ve managed to export the old data from a clean 3.0.x DB (without any mod installed) and then import them in the new, empty 3.2 DB, but the two structures differ a lot, giving me many errors.
I’ve tried to manage those errors, but editing a 150MB SQL file it’s a huge waste of time.
I’ve looked for a routine in the php migration code present in the install subdir, but I didn’t find anything usable in a easy way.
Has anyone met the same problem and is there anybody that could give me a draft solution?
Thanks in advance. In reply to: Can’t give users custom roles.Creating a new role
Select “Roles” from the “Settings” menu at the top of the screen (this menu is only available to space administrators).
Find a role in the list that is similar to the role you’d like to create, click “…”, and select “Duplicate role”.
On this new screen you can customize the rules that will apply to users who are assigned this role.In reply to: Short code generated index is not formattedIt looks like you fixed the error, i have other option too for this error.
In reply to: Topic order not changing with new postHave you made any changes recently? Do you have cache enable?
In reply to: Installation to sub domain Error 400I populated config.php with the data and it WORKS! (looks good by the way!!).
The only thing is that my forum is at

I cannot get it to the root at

In reply to: Integration with WPWhen u load wordpress function inside bbpress. U already integrate both design point and database point. You only need to add WP template tags inside bbpress template.and mostly use wp default functons.
In reply to: next release ideasMe too
Additional suggestions:1. A WYSIWYG editor.
2. A function that allow members to quote a post.
3. The forums grouped in categories.
4. The description of the forum should be located below the forum name
In reply to: Freshness Time IncorrectThanks for the suggestion but no, I’m not using any caching plugins. This problem just started recently. Could this have anything to do with time zone settings within WP or time zones where the users are posting from?
In reply to: next release ideasranrar: How about this? a good document to tell designers how they can develop a theme which works for BOTH wp and bb. THis way, we dont have to mess around with making one theme look like the other. STandalong bb themes are gonna happen anyways. Combining both is the problem worthy of looking into.
In reply to: bbPress 2.6.0 Release Candidate 5I noticed in Firefox, when I go to Responsive Display Mode and simulate a phone (for example, iPhone 6s), the Topic Type and Topic Status dropdowns seem to not repond to my mouse click 99% of the time (they will randomly work out of nowhere once and then stop).
I do not have this behavior on Chrome.
In reply to: Freshness Time IncorrectAre you using any caching plugins? I accidentally forgot to ignore my forum pages once and it caused this exact problem.
