In reply to: Author Links lead to frontpage
Which theme are you using and do you have any other plugins installed? A default bbPress install along with one of the default themes (Twentyten/Twentyeleven) shouldn’t have this issue.
In reply to: Where is the forum main page?comerecommended – did you activate the bbpress plugin? I tried visiting both
http://comerecommended.com/community/forum
http://comerecommended.com/community/forums
and each time get an error saying the forums component isn’t setup yet.
In reply to: Need My Topics section for Sitewide ForumsIf you visit a user’s profile you should be able to see a list of Subscribed forums, Favorite forums and Forum Topics created.
For instance on my local install, I can go to http://localhost/bbpress/users/admin and it shows me a list.
In reply to: Where is the forum main page? How are your permalinks setup in WordPress? Settings->Permalinks
How do you have your navigation configured? Looking at the source code, the News tab has a class of current_page_parent when trying to view the Events/Forums pages.
Are the Events/Forums pages child pages of the News page?
In reply to: After Installation, what's next?Well you could use the Custom Menus feature (Appearance->Menus) and setup custom links to URLs for your forum. Then use the custom menu to display somewhere in your theme and the links would take you to specific subforums.
Unless I’m totally not understanding what you mean and if that’s the case, please let me know
It is all good, maybe sometime in the future somebody will have this issue and find this thread and it will help them
In reply to: Delete Admin Account and Change Post Author?Yep, always a good idea to make a backup
In reply to: Delete Admin Account and Change Post Author?Yes, when you go to delete the user it will provide you with an option to transfer your posts/links to another user account.
In reply to: Getting errorYou need to increase the memory limit for PHP as it is being exhausted from a script.

In reply to: Delete Admin Account and Change Post Author?Just create a new user for yourself, log in with that new user, then delete the old account and attribute all posts/links to the new username.
In reply to: Forum design is tweaked in different browsersIf I knew more about mobile development I’d gladly help but haven’t yet to learn that so I wouldn’t be of much use
In reply to: Forum design is tweaked in different browsersRunning Win7 and checked in latest release versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, IE and Opera.
The only issue I can see is in IE and Opera as you mentioned and from clicking around it looks like there is just an issue with the ad in your sidebar.
It doesn’t appear to have any clear: right/both; applied to it so it sits to the left of the searchform. I applied
style="clear: right;"
to
<div align="center">
and it fixed the issue in both IE and Opera.
Hmmm did you still need help? I checked out your forum at http://www.noonesthebitch.com/community/ and I’m not seeing any subforum titled The Cafe. I know you used to have it on there before when I helped you previously.
In reply to: Better WYSIWYG text editor? In wp-admin go to Settings->Forums and enable the Fancy Editor to enable using TinyMCE.
In reply to: Adding a Topic discussion below my PHP codeSo you’re wanting to display a list of topics related to a particular post at the bottom of said post?
So an example would be something like…
[post_title]
[post_content]
[related_forum_topics]
Is that correct? Do you need these topics to be added to the list automatically or would manual updates be ok?
Made a few edits to use syntax highlighting and section headings, hope you don’t mind!
Yeah, had to help with that just last night. I checked your doc page though regarding bbp_list_forums and the formatting is a bit off making it hard to read for those still learning.
Sure thing, if you do find out a solution please post it here so I as well as others can learn from it for potential future situations
Did you mention the post issue to them? Seeing as how they do this professionally they might have come across the issue before possibly.
Did you have a company convert over to bbPress from vBulletin or did you do it yourselves?
Hard to say exactly, I see that you are using a caching plugin so that could cause potential issues. The fact that you also moved over from vBulletin could be causing another issue of course.
I can’t access your Cafe section due to it being private but I could access the test post that you made so I could see that at least. How soon after a new post would that old post show up again?
Is this issue for the forums or your main WP installation? The oldest post on the forums that is showing is only 8 days old.
Awesome, good to hear
No problem, let me know if you have anymore issues.
