    Since my last bbpress post I starting getting two additional google search result:

    PageSquares – PageSquares – PageSquares – Alden, NY

    I don’t have a blog or is it my intent to ever have one on the website. The post ‘Welcome to WordPress. This is your first post. Edit or…. is a draft and now password protected and continues to appear as a google earch result.
    I addeded two items to my robots txt file in an attempt to remove the additional search results without success. .
    Disallow: /category/uncategorized/
    Disallow: /author/*
    I then added two more items to my robots.txt file.
    Noindes: /category/uncategorized/
    Noindex: /author/*

    Now using the google removal tool and google go fetch I can remove one of the above results but then the other appears in the search results. If I repeat the process I can remove the second search result but the first one is again back in the search result. I also don’t understand why google would index something that isn’t a page or post and make it a search result that returns Whoops, no result found!

    I have now removed the post “Welcome to WordPress… from all my subdomains. Also I used the google removal tool and google go fetch but the google search results are for both the posts and for Forums and Topics. I don’t know how long it will take google to index my sub domains.

    Any help with this would be appreciated.

    This is what I have in my robots.txt file.

    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /wp-content/plugins/
    Disallow: /privacy-policy
    Disallow: /view-only
    Disallow: /forums/

    Below is a google result for my site which is fine.

    Alden, NY – PageSquares
    alden-ny.pagesquares.com/
    Alden, NY – No Labels Community Forums – Buffalo Lackawanna Tonawanda Alden Amherst Aurora Boston Brant Cheektowaga Clarence Colden Collins …

    Along with the above google results I usually get two and sometimes three additional google results like the ones listed below. I would like to Noindex: or Disallow: the additional three returns. Nothing is hidden on the forums from visitors to the site. One concern is if a member of a community creates a topic or replies to a topic it would be for someone who visits the website not to be published on a google search result. Another concern is if someone ever does create a topic it may not be for a long time and the dates below may prevent someone from even going on the site. I feel the one return above is very clear about what someone would find if they decided to go on the site. I have tried every possible combination and configuration of forume, forum, topics, topic, *, $ and reply in my robots.txt file that I could think of or find without success. Any help with this would be appreciated.

    I have the same issue as above, ‘When someone fill out the password reset form on BBP forum and hits submit, the page just refreshes. it looks like the form just hasn’t worked.’, but it does. The email is sent. Once the email is sent the steps that follow are the same as a normal WordPress password reset.

    The above php functions changes what happens after the email is sent and the email link is used to reset the password. They do not effect the original issue- ‘it looks like the form just hasn’t worked.’

    Thank you for your time.

    Hi,

    Thank you for responding. I am just seeing it now.

    I was not asking a question. I was updating that it now appears to me the issue I am having with the Forum Page’s page title being a link and the additional link in breadcrumbs is not an issue related to bbPress but an issue related to my theme.

    I do appreciate your time

    Thank You

    Hi,

    I previewed the Twenty Ten theme on my website and the page tile was not a link and there was not an extra link in breadcrumbs.

    Thank you for your time

    Hi,

    I apologize for posting this request to the forum. I tried for a long time last night but it was late and just couldn’t get it. I went at it again during half time and was able to get it quick enough using bbpress.css.

    Thank you for your time

    Hi,

    Thank you for your response.

    Under any and all settings and configurations (including with or without Home in breadcrumbs), as far as I can see the Forum Page’s page title is also a link to itself. That link is what is appearing in breadcrumbs. The issue is not with breadcrumbs. The issue is the Forum Page’s page title being a link which also causes the issue of the additional link in breadcrumbs.

    Am I correct in assuming the Forum Page’s page title being a link is unique to my website?

    Thank You for your help

    Hi,

    I have additional information.

    Even if I include my home page in breadcrumbs ($args['include_home'] = true;), on the Forum Page the page title still links to itself and in breadcrumbs there is still an additional link prior to current that links to the Forum Page – itself. Everything after that in breadcrumbs is fine.

    Thank you for your time.

    Hi,

    I used the function.php method first and it worked perfectly.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hi,

    I apologize. It is only now I see your response.

    The forum page title was originally Forums with the slug being forums and after saving the permalinks I changed the title. In forum settings the forum root is forums.

    I now think that maybe my issue is because my WordPress website and bbPress plugin are in a subdomain.

    I apologize again for not seeing your response.

    Thank you for your time

    Hi,

    Thank you for responding. Sorry I couldn’t get back to you for so long.

    I don’t use breadcrumbs in my website. I use a custom menu with one of the menu items being the forum. The forum is navigated using bbpress breadcrumbs.

    The page title would be ‘No Labels Community Forum’ and in breadcrumbs it would be N L C F

    Thank you for your time

    @gerard749

    Hi,

    I apologize for not explaining myself more clearly.

    I created a Forum page using Method 1 and added it to my custom menu.

    I removed my website’s home page from breadcrumbs using 4.Turning -off-or changing-breadcrumbs.

    From my custom menu, when I go to the page I created- Forums, there are 3 problems.

    1- The page title Forums is also a link to the page but I am on the page.

    2- The breadcrumbs starts with a link- Forums, the page I am on.

    3- The breadcrumbs link- Forums, is then followed by Forums but not as a link but as current page. Forums > Forums ?

    After that, when I go to a forum and then go to a topic in breadcrumbs everything is fine

    When I make the page Forums my website’s home page (Settings > Reading > Front Page Displays ) then the breadcrumbs are how I would like them to be but I don’t want the forum on my website to be the home page.

    Thank you for your time

    Hi,

    #4 is how I removed home from breadcrumbs. I only want to remove current for forum root and not for topics and replies in breadcrumbs.

    Thank You

    I have the same problem- firefox only. On user profile pages Topics Started and Replies Created do not appear- only the title. I added this code from a bbPress forum (3 months, 3 weeks ago) to my WP style.css file:

    .bbp-user-section {
    overflow: auto;
    }

    and this code:

    #bbpress-forums .bbp-user-section ul.bbp-topics {float: left !important;}

    and both together and no change

    I have spent time on the forums, but maybe there is a solution somewhere that I missed.

    Thank You

    WP 3.5.1
    bbPress 2.2.4
    Thematic Theme
