I don’t think any bbpress installation are compatiable with WP 2.6.5 e.g the installs are:
WP 2.5/1—- bbPress 0.9.2
WP 2.6.3 — Unstable bbPress Alpha 1.0
In reply to: Integrate wp2.7 and bbp1.0a2This is a interesting post.
Im currently running WP 2.5.1 and bbPress 0.9.2, and Im getting slightly worried on falling behind on WordPress upgrades. I think this the most success someones had with WP 2.7 and bbPress.
Im sure I’ve seen a WP 2.6.3 and bbPress 1.0.2 installation and it didn’t like it at all, sent out a redirect loop.
Thanks for sharing

In reply to: Problem with sticky topicsWhere would this option be located in the code? Can’t seem to find it. Thanks for your post.
In reply to: Problem with sticky topicsI’ve noticed that the sticky topic is notified as one on this page as has [sticky] in the topic name along with being a different colour:
http://www.james-blogs.com/forum/forum.php?id=6
But on my index page it doesn’t show up as sticky or anything different:

How can I achive this so it shows up as sticky also on the frontpage
In reply to: GEO targetted forum and bbPress stabilityI have tried both 1.0-2 Alpha and 0.9.2
And for the modifications you are doing I would recommend 0.9.2 as it’s a stable release, and I have intergrated both database and theme into my forum without problems
In reply to: Problem with sticky topicsHow come the sticky text is not showing on the latest discussions bit on the frontpage though?
In reply to: Problem with sticky topicsAh okay thanks, just making sure.
In reply to: Show off your Forum !!Mine is:

Im yet to begin involving the forum deeply into my whole blog, but it’s theme and databased intergrated
In reply to: Latest Topics widget (Pre 1.0)Sweet, thanks.
In reply to: Check out my Theme IntergrationSorry for the really late reply. Didn’t see my topic with a reply.
To bbPress’ credit I got that error and alot more when intergrating the wordpress database and theme intergration (But it is currently alpha) and I am looking forward to the stable release of 1.0 now that I’ve seen it and essentially test drived it.
If your still having problems I can only assume your also using the 1.0 alpha as well, in which case I’d suggest you consider downgrading to WordPress 2.5.1 and bbPress 0.9.2. I did a couple days ago and it is very stable, the intergration is perfect and I have no problems with permalinks etc.
In reply to: Can not create a new topic in forumDisregard this thread, as I have chose to downgrade to WP 2.5.1 and Install bbPress 0.9.2 and I have managed intergrate my theme and the database with no problems. Any errors occuring before hand have been fixed.
Sorry 1.0 your just not ready for me yet.
In reply to: Can not create a new topic in forumIt also happens the default as well. I’ve deactivated all plugins still no form.
Just to clear up. I don’t get a blank screen. I mean when I click new topic it will bring me to the page with the heading of create new topic, but below it will be no form of any kind
Slightly off topic, but im not sure if having a space in your keys is a good idea. Might want to remove the space in them. If you do make sure your wp-config and bb-config match after the changes
In reply to: 1.0 alpha 2: installation final step PHP errorI have also had this error.
However when I installed bbPress, the errors we’re occuring because my Site Forum name was James’ Forum the ‘ seems to throw the installer off and cause a error.
However it doesn’t seem to affect the installer completing the installation
In reply to: 1.0 alpha 2: permalink none cannot be set backDo you know if your web-host supports multi views? Might be a idea to ask them. Although I am new to bbPress myself there might be something else causing problems. But from reading various topics permalink problems seems to be connected to the .htaccess.
I can’t really offer anymore help but im sure a moderator or other member will post help. When they see you topic.
Yeah the bb-config has to have BB_ defined, no need to change.
Have you checked in your bbPress admin panel:
Settings > WordPress Intergration
That all the stuff it wants if filled in with correct information
In reply to: 1.0 alpha 2: permalink none cannot be set backI think on the admin panel (bbPress) there’s a link in the description of the permalinks settings part, that when you click it will display the .htaccess code thats meant to be in your .htaccess.
Now I don’t quite know why your having problems but I have also come across problems with something called multi views.
Sometimes permalinks won’t work because of multiviews not being ables. Try adding this to the very top of your .htaccess:
Options +MultiViews
Sounds like a cookie problem.
Have you made sure that your wp-config and bb-config have both defined the special keys like:
AUTH_KEY
SECURE_AUTH_KEY etc
And of course the secret cookie key?
In reply to: 1.0 alpha 2: permalink none cannot be set backHey,
Have you made sure your .htaccess file is CHMOD to writable?
E.g permission 777?
In reply to: Cookie problem with wp-blog-header.phpThanks for the link. I didn’t realise WP 2.6 wasn’t 0.9.2 friendly, thanks for the link to the sticky though. Good info in it!
In reply to: Cookie problem with wp-blog-header.phpNever mind just upgraded to the Unstable 1.0 Alpha version, much more WordPress 2.6 friendly!
In reply to: WordPress and bbPress Theme IntegrationOKay thanks for your reply.
I shall have a look around.
