In reply to: My "pimped press" www.stratoliner.me
Ronileco,
Thanks for the heads-up. I believe everything is working now π
In reply to: My "pimped press" www.stratoliner.mejholman,
It is just WP-Usersonline plugin with their widget in the sidebar.
John, thanks for the reply.
The replies referred to above we’re made by users, and I just edited them through admin. That is why I couldn’t understand why they didn’t have a forum, or topic assigned to them.
In reply to: add a "Featured Image" to a forumBump.
In reply to: Best Social plugin for new bbPress?Bump..
This really should be put into the original code. Great tip.
In reply to: Better resolution on avatars at forumsI would like to know this also and how to change the size.
Followup:
Based upon another post (From John) I deactivated bbPress and reactivated it (Which I thought I had done several times).
I also went into the “Tools” > “Forum” and recalculated everything. I was still having some replies not showing up!
I went into “edit” those replies and found that they were not assigned to any “forum” or “topic” at all. I edit them and assigned a forum and topic and the showed up.
However: I could find the forum that they should have been assigned to, but the proper topic was not even available in the drop-down list…. I just had to select the closest topic I could find.
Perhaps someone can tell me why the replies would not have any forum or topic assigned to them??
Thanks,Shep
In reply to: Forum says "logged out" when I am logged in.Thanks Labsecrets, that is exactly what I did. Great little plugin.
In reply to: Best Social plugin for new bbPress? That is what I am looking for – just social buttons so that others can retweet, post on Facebook etc.
Can you please explain the “how to” on this a bit?
In reply to: My "pimped press" www.stratoliner.meThanks Lynq!
In reply to: Can not access Forums in Admin/Dashboard –I have the same issue with the admin forum links. For now I have added a plugin bbPress Admin Bar. At least I have access.
I don’t know if it is related but I am also having a problem with the attachments showing up in the forums. I am just getting the [attachment, etc] but the link is not there.
I will be watching this to see if someone can help us.
BTW – I had several links in Admin that weren’t working and John helped me with them. You might try it. – Delete all your cookies relating to your site and try the link(s) again. It corrected all of mine except for the Forum(s) link(s).
In reply to: Weird permissions issue with admin panel.Yes I do and just on those links mentioned above – the bbpress links in the admin sidebar.
In reply to: Weird permissions issue with admin panel.John – you are a prince among men π !
That solved “almost” everything. I still have a “Forums”, “Topics” and “Replies on the admin bar that tell me I don’t have the correct permissions and the have me going here respectively: http://www.stratoliner.me/wp-admin/admin.php?page=edit.php?post_type=forum – http://www.stratoliner.me/wp-admin/admin.php?page=edit.php?post_type=topic – and http://www.stratoliner.me/wp-admin/admin.php?page=edit.php?post_type=reply.
However I have a plugin called “bbPress Admin Bar Addition” that works and it send me to these links:
http://www.stratoliner.me/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=forum –
http://www.stratoliner.me/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=topic – and
http://www.stratoliner.me/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=replyI am almost there π – BTW if you know the tables I can delete from the old stand-alone install that would be cool also.
In reply to: Weird permissions issue with admin panel.Bump – no one having any problems with this???
In reply to: Weird permissions issue with admin panel. Thanks Lynq. Yes, they are all updated…
In reply to: bbPress.org Updated to 2.1 – Site downJust another update. It seems that “Theme My Login” plugin was one of the issues also.
In reply to: bbPress.org Updated to 2.1 – Site downJohn, I am back in. I went into my database>changed the theme to twentyten which allowed me to get back in. bbPress was not activated so I activated that. Selected the βmotherβ theme I was using and I am back up. Now I will trouble shoot the child theme to see the issues with that.
I thought this might help someone else.
In reply to: wp-admin/ no access to ForumUnderstandable question . Yes it is, and most all of the other admin links work fine.
In reply to: wp-admin/ no access to ForumIt was a dumb mistake – but I thought I would post this if anyone is ever in my same spot.
This was very helpful:
http://perishablepress.com/quickly-disable-or-enable-all-wordpress-plugins-via-the-database/
However – since I had already turned all my plugins off I was out of luck for backing them up first!
What I did was phpmyadmin into one of my other sites running bbPress and copied its active_topics tab le contents – then pasted into the site that was not working. It was enough to get me back into admin and reactive my plugins.
In reply to: wp-admin/ no access to ForumJohn – I went in and disabled plugins one-by-one to no av avail. Then I made a dumb mistake and deactivated ALL my plugind and now I can’t get back into the site. I had my forums set as the main page ;(
Can I use PHPMyAdmin to reset those or at least bbPress? If so – where?
Thanks again
In reply to: wp-admin/ no access to ForumThanks John..
I am assuming you are referring to my bbPress plugins?? They are:
bbPress2 BBCode
bbPress Admin Bar Addition (Had to do this to even have access to admin)
bbPress Moderation
bbPress New Topic Notifications
bbPress Post Toolbar
bbPress Quotes
bbP Signatures
Again, I appreciate your help.
In reply to: wp-admin/ no access to ForumLatest bbPress also and the broken links are in the left-side maim admin menu. I will need to get home to list plugins..
In reply to: wp-admin/ no access to ForumThe latest version. I always keep everything updated.
In reply to: wp-admin/ no access to ForumThis is an old thread – but I still have the same problem.
my admin>forums link: http://stratoliner.me/wp-admin/admin.php?page=edit.php?post_type=forum
Throws an error. It should be http://stratoliner.me/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=forum as varsitysmack mentioned above.
I really need to correct this – how can I change the link?
Thanks
Shep
