I am running the conversion tool on an old PHPBB3 forum that i have had for years. I am now getting emails from every user telling me that they are getting email notifications for quoted posts that were made years ago! Is this really sending an email to every user who has ever quoted someone?!?!

It shouldn’t be doing this, any chance you actually have BuddyPress also activated?

If so deactivate it and continue on your import 🙂

BuddyPress was enabled. After I noticed the emails I disabled notifications in buddypress and installed the “Stop Emails” plugin and it appears to have stopped the problem. Thanks for the reply!
