bbPress 2.6.5

I have just finished updating WP to 5.0.10 and suddenly bbPress doesn’t work. The plugin is active. Forums, topics and replies appear in the admin, but clicking topics in the menu returns a 404 error:

try

dashboard>settings>permalinks and just click save – this resaves the links and might just fix this

Thanks for your response. Sorry, your idea didn’t work—now only the header and top navigation bar display when clicking a topic in the main menu. Can someone help?

Maybe I should revert to an earlier WP version?

or maybe to the latest 5.5.1 bbpress version.

I updated to WP 5.1.1 and did Robin’s permalinks trick. Now it works—yippee!!!
