Hi,
We had an old website (old.wattlet.fr/forums) with an existing forum. I’ve tried to import it to our new website http://www.wattlet.fr/forums. The bbpress version on the old website has been updated to 2.5.9. I’ve used the import feature under tools/forum, but surprisingly there are no options to select bbpress 2 from the dropdown list. I just see bbpress1.This selection doesn’t use the same table. Currently it is using wp_posts tables. Did I miss something? What I’m trying to do seems to be so simple !

I haven’t tested this lately, but you could export then import 1 forum at a time using this plugin. This plugin might only import topics that are not closed, and it may autosubscribe topic authors to topics, and maybe auto favorite too.

Thanks for your answer. But how do I run it in WP ? There are no documentation. I installed it as a standard plugin but nothing appeared in the menus

Bonjour Luc,
Spending 2 seconds on the code, it seems to add an export or import button on the forum (only for admin), so try in your ‘/wp-admin > Forums’ and check if there is an extra button to export somewhere.

I am looking around if any other plugins or so would exist to help you out.

I am looking for a way to export all forums, topics, and replies from one bbPress to import to another. I went to the forum page, but I don’t see an export or import button. I have looked all around the rest of the admin area and don’t see anything regarding a bbPress export or import. I found a few places that recommended this plugin, but I don’t have any clue how to use it.

Never mind, I found both the export and import. I was looking on the Forum list page. I found it on each individual forum edit page in the forum attributes box.
