I strongly suspect this is a problem due to my noviceness but i can’t for the life of me figure out what is going on and the forum posts don’t seem to quite match.

I have set up a couple of test forums to try out bbPress but the landing page (below) domain.com/forums is just throwing out a lump of un-rendered text, rather than links to the forums available.

any ideas?

Thanks for checking. I had made some progress on this but there are now host issues that are preventing me from working on the site! I will update once i can get back on.

Right, back up (tip: never use fasthosts!)

So back to forum issues. I have created three forums but i seem unable to view them on the landing page which i understand should be http://www.activenaturalist.org.uk/forums/ (?)

I have reset permalinks and made everything public, in case it was some kind of visibility issue. Could this be something to do with my theme?

By way of an update. Adding a page and using shortcodes seems to have solved this
