I used my current wordpress site to install bb-press. I have the forum set up menu in the WP-admin section and it seems to be working. http://www.gadgetsandgizmos.org/forums/ but i can’t find where to login to the bb press admin section to change settings etc.

The site is using my default theme and working nicely, so great job there.

Try /wp-admin/options-general.php?page=bbpress if you are using the plugin. I haven’t used standalone in a while.

that redirects me to wp-admin/options-general.php?page=bbpress which i have in my wp-admin already. Is there another set up page though? I only ask because this gives me limited options

im also looking for the place where you can install plugins through the admin? i only have the general settings admin for the forum that only allows some very basic things

I’m pretty sure that’s it for options. Plugins for the plugin version of bbPress are installed the same way regular WP plugins are installed.
