Can't access the dashboard

  • @logicalweb

I’ve seen this problem mentioned but I haven’t seen a solution. I have bbpress integrated with WP 3.0. When I log into WP and then try to access the bbpress dashboard it redirects back to the forum. I can’t access it unless I log out and log in to bbpress.

I can only access the dashboard if I log out and then log into bbpress. And then when I go to WP I have to log in there again.

Known issue! Never got rid of it.

Severity is low because it doesn’t create problem with normal users.

I am tired of adding modlook for each spam.

They are not bot. Its human. Mods kill their accounts.

Unfortunately mods can’t modify user accounts at all, only admin and we are “admin-less” as far as I know. Akismet simply isn’t learning when users are marked for spam, so on it goes.

Hi ! This is my firt post here. I’m french but I hope my english is not too bad ;-)

I DON’T use WP integration with my bbpress installation (even if my blog http://www.oreille-malade.com runs on WP).

    My forum is here :

The problem is precisely I can’t access admin dashboard for a few days. I didn’t know upgrading WP to 3.0 could create a problem on my bbpress installation ?? (is it possible, really ??)

I’m quite annoyed with this problem. Any idea, someone ?

    Thanks a lot !

Best Regards and thanks a lot for all the good work !

So this seems to trace back to BackPress

This issue can be solved by the bbPress integration plugin for WordPress. Keep the plugin activated, it generates the required cookies on WordPress authentication hooks which otherwise are not created for accessing bbPress dashboard (or admin panel)

P.S. – I actually looked at the plugin’s code today!

Don’t know what the BackPress has to do here!
