bbPress is not creating several pages of a topic

    Hi Guys,

I got the problem, that bbPress is not splitting the posts in different pages when there are a few answers. For example: http://germansimracing.de/community/thema/dauerstartnummern/

Is there anything to setup or what could be the problem? I updated WordPress a few minutes ago to the newest version. bbPress and all other plugins are up to date, too.

Thanks in Advance for your help! 🙂

If you have ‘Reply Threading’ activated in ‘Settings > Forums > Forum Features’, then your pagination will not work. So you have to choose: Threads or Pagination.

If you are into coding, on this page you can find somebody that has found a workaround.

I deactivated “Reply Threading” now it looks like it should.
    Thank you, Pascal!

    Hello Pascal,

I have the same issue. My site is very active so a topic gets to hundreds of replies within days. That makes for a very long page without pagination. Threading makes it a little easier to keep on top of for readers, as discussion that is meant to be together, sticks together.

Would developers consider fixing it so pagination works with threaded topics in the next release?

Devs say that its intentional for now and looking for a way to implement it without any further issues.

There is a couple of fixes out there.

    1. This patch enables threaded replies, but will not work in private forums.

    2. I have not tested this proposed fix.
