    Hello,

Is it possible to limit the number of topics displayed with the [“bbp-topic-index”] shortcode?

    Thanks,
    Ian

Would like it too. The list is too long now..

The shortcode uses the same setting as ‘Topics per page’ setting.

What he was going for is technically right, he linked to the wrong one though. The RSS setting only affects how many posts in the rss feed, not in the topic/reply lists.

My interpretation is that the OP wants to limit the overall number of topics displayed (like you can do with Robins plugin). Not change the amount of topics that appear on a given page.

I came to this thread searching for a solution to the same problem.

If you use the [“bbp-topic-index”] the result is that the relevant page lists all of your topics. Is there any way to limit the overall amount of topics displayed (eg.60pages), regardless of how many you set to display on each page?

If you would want that feature in that particular shortcode, you would have to filter the code, and change the query.

You can also make a new shortcode or a custom view to display the latest topics and limit the number of topics.
