In reply to: Meta Title for Profile Pages w/ Yoast SEO
I’d like to suggest something you might try to solve this problem.
The SEO Framework supports bbress, is written with massive and busy (multi-)sites in mind and therefore up to 867% faster when compared with other popular SEO plugins. It also consumes up to 260% fewer server resources and makes 15% fewer database interactions (numbers may vary on this one depending on plugin compatibility).
It allows for complete SEO data migration from other plugins and the author tells you an easy way to do it here SEO Data Transporter from WordPress.org
Plus it has 100% fewer advertisements. And the author will answer your questions because he is not trying to sell you an upgrade to the Pro version ~ there isn’t one. All of the Pro features are built into the free version you can download from the WordPress repository.
Give it a try. I think you will be impressed.
I’m the wrong guy to ask about that… @Doobbe is your man!
Take a look at https://bbpress.org/forums/topic/bbp-21-rc4-wp-341-pixel-theme-studio-zen-theme#post-106714 ~ that might help you.
Thank you so much for the help.
Its much appreciated.
I will have time over the weekend and will try it out.
Again, many thanks.
Nobody willing to help at all?
In reply to: Members only forumThe “members” plugin by Justin Tadlock hasn’t been maintained in over a year, which is really a shame.
In reply to: Members only forumThe other problem I see is that it identifies a user based on the IP address. Which is OK if you’re on a fixed IP, but if you’r on a virtual IP from your ISP then you get a new one pretty often. As a result your constantly having to apply for permission.
And I also should add that since doing this work things have only got worse and now an unwanted sidebar has appeared ~ only at the bottom of the page!
In reply to: Members only forum@rexgoode ~ I was trying to get it to work on 3.4.1 and although it lets me apply and be granted acces, there’s no way to save the access once granted. The “Forum restrict administration” has no save button, so when you leave the page you still have no access. Also, there’s an un-named tick box on the far left which, as soon as you clich it, deletes the record its next to. And then you need to start again.
After all that it seems the moved on and decided to do some digital share-cropping over at Ning. Silly girls. They’ll learn eventually.
