Perhaps @johnjamesjacoby or @jaredatch have a perspective on this that I have not yet considered.
I don’t understand the reasoning behind showing Freshness instead of Last post in list of topics. bbPress is making an additional calculation, bending over backwards, just to calculate how many seconds, minutes or days have passed since last post.
In this sense, bbPress is breaking from convention that most forum users are familiar with without making performance gains (in fact making performance losses)
I don’t see the reason and I don’t like it this way. But since it is like this then I must assume that there are other bbPress users who do. Hence…perhaps this should be configurable.

I just posted a topic with title “Last post date-time instead of Freshness” in bbpress.org support forums. It doesn’t appear anywhere. But when I tried again, I got a “duplicate” message. Please can you check and advise?

Your forums page is returning a 404.
As for the photo, it’s a theme issue. You have a social plugin widget which is being partially rendered in that area.
Try the TwentyEleven and the problem will disappear.

As reported elsewhere, my theme doesn’t seem to like bbPress 2.2.2 either.
The problem caused is that I think the template files that make bbPress work with other themes broke.
I can still go to the forum pages with direct URLs or links in forum list widget, but the forums (list of forums or list of topics) are not visible. All I see in content area is page/forum title and forum description.
Similarly, on topic pages, I see topic title, but nothing else…
When I view source, the code is not there. e.g. when on forums home I view code, I can’t find the forum names (except in the forum list widget)
P.S. Reinstalling 2.2.2 has not resolved the issue.

Ok, so how do I set Hungarian language for bbPress when my WordPress is a multilingual installation with WPML?
In spite of that BBLANG configuration, it seems the forum page is still using English.

I was thrown off simply by the fact that bbPress doesn’t seem to be picking up Hungarian strings from the language file.
Just point forum.xxx.com to http://www.xxx.com/forum
https://bbpress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/1669 which was the major blocker for 2.1 has actually been punted to 2.2
So the integration originally planned for BP 1.6 / bbp 2.1 is now scheduled for BP 1.7 / bbp 2.2
Of course, a lot of work has already been done in the background.
It means 1 month till release
