In reply to: Make bbpress GDPR compliant
I’ve seen similar discussions on here. The fact it’s not very clear is why I wanted to include it on my site, just to be sure. Basically, you could post private photos and private information like phone numbers on it. It’s not really clear I guess.
In reply to: Make bbpress GDPR compliantAwesome, hadn’t seen this. I’ve installed it and it seems to work fine, even though it hasn’t been updated for ages. This should really be included as a default feature in bbpress. Privacy is a big concern. Thank you robin!
In reply to: Which cookies is bbpress using/placing?Alright, thank you!
In reply to: Make bbpress GDPR compliantBut Facebook gives you the possibility to delete all your data if you wish to do so. This is what the delete user data tool in WP does as well, and it was added because of that. The users must have the right to see all data stored by them as well as the choice to have them removed.
I am still unsure if this concerns only personal data or any data published by the user, but the WP delete user data tool also collects all comments written by the user, and when they are sent to the user (if requested) they are included in that zip package. So I am unsure about if I need that feature or not.
In reply to: There’s a space sign before usernames in bbpressIt worked! Thanks to all you guys helping us out. 🙂
In reply to: There’s a space sign before usernames in bbpressHello again! That space is bugging me, is there no way to remove it?
When you look at the code on the site itself it looks like it is this sign here which is causing spaces:
"
It also does that in other places. Can someone tell me why? And there’s no way to hide it through CSS either, because it has no class or id, so you can’t add display: none: to it.
In reply to: Why is the post ID so high?Alright, that makes sense! Thank you. 🙂
In reply to: There’s a space sign before usernames in bbpressThat sounds good. 🙂 But I still hope there’s a way in the future to remove that space! (The clean way)
In reply to: There’s a space sign before usernames in bbpressIn the WordPress settings under “Discussion”. I guess this affects the Avatars on the forum as well.
In reply to: There’s a space sign before usernames in bbpressI didn’t change or modify any core. Just installed the plugin as is. But I did disable avatars. Apparently it keeps the space, even if you don’t have avatars?
And isn’t it weird that you’d have a space for an Avatar in this text that is displayed in very small font?

This doesn’t look like a place where you would display an avatar.
