I am yet to try it out on my website. I know in the past there were issues with this type of plugin in terms of scalability. My forum is by no means large (2000+) but I am already starting to have server issues. Could you tell me if this plugin is ok for larger forums?

Just noticed in your tutorial (it caught me out!) – your css step looks like this:

but should be like this
a.bbp-topic-permalink:visited {color:#bbb;}

It is still missing the functionality of new topic replies (from last visit) and automatically taking you to the last unread reply inside the topic.

The import didn’t end up going through as the file size is too big (394mb). I’ve gotten in contact with my host as I’m unsure how to get it to import.

I’m guessing I will wait for the import to go through, then go through all the tables and delete all the phpbb ones. Please correct me if I’m wrong!

Thanks @netweb. From what you’ve said, I gather this is what I’m going to do:
- Export the current forum’s database, then import it into my own.
- Use the Tools>Forums>Import Forums.
- Repair the forums Tools>Forums>Repair Forums.
Wish me luck! I will report back to say how I went if this does ever help anyone else in the future.

I’ve been talkin with JJJ (lead bbPress developer) about how we might work to integrate these features into the plugin core. Tracking replies will probably definitely be something we’ll look into then.
Hi Pippin, I don’t mean to be a pest, but would you have some sort of timeframe to integrate this? I think the forum members will be okay with the forum the way it is if they know that the feature will be added in the future.

Is there also the possibility of having a link next to to the topic title, like an arrow, so when you click on the arrow it will send you to the last reply that you haven’t read in that topic?
