In reply to: Forums index in the same layout as other bb software
Hi I’m really keen on this layout rather than the default Forum index layout in bbPress.
I have created the loop-forums.php with the code and placed it in the bbpress folder of my child theme (I am using Buddyboss)
However having done that, my Forum index page still remains unchanged
The page just has
[bbp-forum-index]
Advice much appreciated
In reply to: Best bbpress polls pluginI’d like to thank @peterwsterling for modifying the plugin to allow a custom shortcode setting and make it compatible with WP Polls.
You’re a genius! In reply to: Best bbpress polls pluginPete I’d really like to use both.
Is it difficult to edit the plugin code and change the short code name?In reply to: Best bbpress polls pluginUnfortunately, @peterwsterling it does not work when WP Polls is also installed. I hope you can reply. I also sent you feedback via your website.
In reply to: Best bbpress polls pluginHi @peterwsterling I just bought your plugin and will test it out. Hope it works and does not conflict with WP Polls!
In reply to: Best bbpress polls pluginHi @peterwsterling
I’m keen to get your plugin but I am also using WP Polls for blog posts and pages and in fact WP Polls can also embed in bbpress posts (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-polls/installation/) though Polls can only be created by Admins from the backendWP Polls also uses the short code poll but in a different format
[poll id="2" type="result"]
But I like the concept of users being able to create their own polls in forum posts so I’d be keen to get your plugin provided it doesn’t conflict with WP Polls. Hope you can confirm.
Thanks
In reply to: Putting the @username below nameHi @teppom
I tried it with my childtheme (Buddyboss) and I am getting blank page on my forum.
Not sure what the problem is.In reply to: New Topic Form Shortcode IssueThank you @satrya. Works perfectly!
In reply to: New Topic Form Shortcode IssueThe bug is still there for 2.5.2
In reply to: Subscribe to new forum topicsDoesn’t work for me.
In reply to: Forum subscriptionsHmm thanks for the headsup. Just tested subscription on a sub-forum and no, no email notification.
Not possible – closest is the opt-in Forum subscriptions with 2.5 or the New Topic Notifications plugin which requires one to add email addresses manually.
In reply to: Putting the @username below nameOK there was a similar question in the Buddyboss forums and if you are using the Buddyboss theme, it should be put in the bbpress subfolder (copy to child theme if not there) in the oop-single-reply.php file after the
<?php do_action( 'bbp_theme_after_reply_author_details' ); ?>
Now a further question – if I want to replace the Real Name displayed with only the @username, what should I do?
Thanks! In reply to: Unable to change to or create private/hidden forums@howar31 how do you do a batch edit?
Same issue for me on inability to change a public forum to private or hiddenIn reply to: Not getting email notifications for @mentionJust to add, I am using the new topic notification plugin which works fine.
In reply to: Not getting email notifications for @mentionSorry that should be Buddypress 1.8.1
In reply to: New Topic Form Shortcode IssueGosh the fix sounds complicated. I’ll wait for the official bug fix 🙂
Hi I am not denying search engines nor changed the site address yet I don’t have notifications when the user is mentioned in the forums with @username
It’s working in the Activity stream though.
Anyone else have similar problems?Buddypress 1.8.1, bbPress 2.4 and WordPress 3.6.1
In reply to: Putting the @username below nameIn reply to: How to display @username in bbPress?Any solution? Thanks
In reply to: Import from Buddypress Legacy Group forumsI am pleased to report I managed to successfully upgrade to bbPress from legacy forums
The proper code to put in the Forums page is:
[bbp-topic-index]In reply to: Import from Buddypress Legacy Group forumsYou did put [bbp-forum-index] in your Forums page did you not?
In reply to: Import from Buddypress Legacy Group forumsI mean all plugins disabled except Buddypress and bbPress.
