In reply to: bbPress 2.0 – Theme Compatibility
Let me start by saying I am not an advanced user. However, I would be interested in trouble shooting a theme compatability issues.
The 2010 theme works great for the bbPress plugin.
However, I have a theme which I would like to use which bbPress does not work for.
I have set up a score of forums and only the parent forum shows after resaving the permalinks. The test topics do show, but people would not have the ability to add anything like a new topic or reply.
The theme has many options and I would prefer to use it over a standard WP theme. However, I am not sure why it is not working for the bbPress Plugin.
Will bbPress have something to help convert themes or do you have any idea what is going on?
If it is too much recoding on my part I might just use the 2011 theme when it rolls out. Or think of plan b.
My site as it is now is http://peopleandlanguages.com/
Thanks and sorry in advance if this question is not the type of question you look at, rather you adress more macro issues.
In reply to: bbPress plugin September 15?JJJ, I think everyone sincerely appreciates your work and dedication. I have been looking forward to the BBpress plugin, but I think it is pretty understood Sept 15 is a very soft idealistic date. Again thank you for the work you have and will put in on this.
In reply to: Back to work, back to bbPress, back to reality…Dittos to the above. The Internet is a very emotional place at times. People should understand this.
bbPress has a lot to offer in terms of a light weight forum.
BuddyPress has come a long way. When I was trying to use it last year, it in my opinion was not workable. Now, its a streamline plug-in, that works well with WP 3 – thanks to Andy Peatling.
AfterTheDeadline also turned out super.
I think if bbPress has one dedicated resource it would be great.
It looks like (I am not sure) bbPress might go the way of BuddyPress which is a good thing.
In reply to: Anonmyous Posting vs. Login-less PostingI would give my vote to this being part of the core functionality for bbPress. Why? Because people on the web have a low tolerance for registration. They want to post and subscribe, not fill out registration forms.
In reply to: Cannot modify header informationI got this with php 5 I think its related to the online plugin, I deactivated that plug in and it works ok now with no error.
In reply to: Error while logging outHello I have this same problem every time I log out even under a different user name. Any ideas?
