So, I could see that the data was there because I can export it… eventually I narrowed it down to a plugin conflict – Search Everything – I’ve posted in WP.In reply to: Keymaster can’t moderate or even reply to posts

Thanks. Forgot about the WP facility. Easy as pie… I’ve now installed a plug-in to combat this so hope it works.In reply to: New directory loses WordPress integration
OK! Thanks for your help. I re-checked everything and there was a different ‘secret’ – found by visiting wordpresssite/options.php. I keyed this into the admin section of bbpress. I don’t know if this was the only thing as I tweaked the config file of WordPress to have two lines defining the cookie domain (it had only one). Anyway we have blast off.
thanks. still does not work.
1. upgraded bbpress to .9.0.2
3. not sure how i can check this?
4. think so. added sthg to bbpress config shall i do the same to wp config?
5. yesIn reply to: Is there an Approve Registration plugin?
I followed the instructions to change the template and delete the register.php file in the root but get the following error message which doesn’t look very good even if it works:
URL /register.php was not found on this server.
Which file does one edit to get rid of the Register option?In reply to: Links take me back to the blog root directory
OK, found out what it was – but how can i use pretty urls?
By rediting the config file to short urls false the problem has gone away:
$bb->mod_rewrite = false;
So, why if set to true isn’t it working. What happens is the directory mysite.com/bb/topic (say) goes back to the home page of the main blog at mysite.com
