No. Every attempt I made to migrate to 4.0 and then to bbpress failed as well. I just kept my 5.0 and will never use them again on any site. All my other sites I use wpForo on. It is virtually the same and much better than bbpress, which is a solid forum option in itself.

I almost had it done converting it to simple machine and then to BBPress but it kept getting an error at the end. I was converting to 4.4 (I believe) it was using the latest converter someone posted on the VB Forums. I apologize for not saving the links. I finally gave up. Went back to VB 5.0 and am hosting it myself. vBulletin is by far the best software out there for forums, but not great when you want integration. My forum was pretty good sized..

I didn’t use the cloud like I did and went back to self hosting like I had before. If you host vBulletin yourself you have total control over it and you can install 3rd party plugins. I use DragonByte. It is inexpensive and great customer support. With the new vBulletin interface and mobile support for apps it is again top of the line.

I waited well over a year for a solution to the problem and WordPress and BBPress were obviously not willing to take a good portion of the crowd wanting to jump from vBulletin. But they waited too long and vBulletin worked their issues out.

has there been any progress in getting something to import from VBulleting 5.2 or above. They don’t have tables in VB 5 anymore and I am trying to import to BBPress as I am sick of VBulletin and how hard they are to work with. I moved to the cloud about 18 months ago over there and have regretted it almost immediately. I have 57K topics and 300K posts as well as 7K users (not all active anymore). I just need the best way to import the data to BBPress. The VBulletin importer in the software gives me many of the same errors mentioned on the forums here in several threads. I need this done yesterday.. LOL… I have moved my forums from the VBCloud and am putting up my home page. I have all data backed up. I have not tried the articles or anything else, just the forum posts. I couldn’t wait and have to pay another month to stay on VB as my contract was up with them.
