I need some more time on this one, but I will certainly do.

    Hi,

I’m very pleased with the Avatar Upload, great work. Also I like the integration into bbpress a lot, it’s really straight forward.

Only one small visual glitch that I noticed is that for avatars even when resized to 100×100 max, with small (1 line) posts the avatar image will overlap into the portion of next post, rendering the next user name unreadable. The callout for the img code has been included where suggested by the docs. Anyone else did recognize this as a problem?

I’m using version 0.8.3 of the plugin (avatar-upload.0.8.3.zip).

    Thanks.

I can confirm the AllowImages PlugIn does work.

What I’m missing from your report above is the activation of the PlugIn that is required to make it … well … active. To do so, you will have to navigate to admin section, select the right-most menu in the bar and activate the PlugIn there.

I think this process is described in the docs very well already.

As I hardcode byteorder to 0 (zero) everthing is fine.

Something is wrong with the magic number check for byte order validation.

Some tracing shows that it heads for the right language file but the check for the magic number fails in gettext.php , constructor gettext_reader for some strange reason. The same file works fine on windows, trnsferred it binary to the server, has same byte length.

I see that there has been some work in that space because of a bug in PHP 5.0.2?

    I’m on FreeBSD 6.3 Release p1, Apache/2.2.6 (FreeBSD) and PHP 5.2.5.

Any insight on what’s going on here?

    Thanks.

Looks like I’m running into the same or similar issue.

Localization works fine on my local system, which is WordPress free.

I’ve uploaded the same configuration onto a hosted server and this one fails to internationalize. I realize now that the hosting provider offers WordPress as installation option out of the box. I suspect this to be the reason why the internationalizations fails, presumably because of some preliminary setups for WordPress are in place already.

Is there a clean solution to get bbpress internationalized without all the hazzle from WordPress? I intend not to install the WordPress package.

In addition to what I’ve said above:

If I include a <p><?php echo(constant(‘BBLANG’)) ?></p> into one of the template this renders me the correct value for the language setting, therefore it’s really strange this one is not resolved into the right call to the language file. The $mofile variable in bb-includes/i10n.php is pointing to the right file. …

Having trouble with localization as well.

It works on my local Windoze system without problem, switched to German very smoothly.

But not on the hosted Linux server, shows English only.

    Configuration is 100% identical.

Any ideas what might be wrong with it?

    I’m on bbpress-0.8.3.1

    Thanks.
