In reply to: Error on runningIn reply to: get the forum topics into the centre of the page
I think you should check with Pagelines support. As a paying customer, I believe you have access to their support forum.
In reply to: get the forum topics into the centre of the pageHow did you get them into the sidebar in the first place? Was that intentional? Who created this theme for you, or where did you get it?
It’s probably a div in the wrong place, an unclosed div or an extra ending div.
In reply to: Problem with integrationIs this for a Pagelines integration?
https://bbpress.org/forums/topic/deep-integration-wordpress-bbpress-bb-configphp-errors
You need to paste that line into bb-config.php, almost anywhere. What were the errors when you tried it?
In reply to: Music pluginThat player will scan a folder on your server and play those files. There is a plugin to allow the admin to post anything:
https://bbpress.org/plugins/topic/admin-can-post-anything/
That would allow admins to post something like that.
There is no functionality like that, that I know of, to allow visitors to embed flash on their own.
There are also ways to allow members to post youtube or other videos.
If you wanted to use the flashmp3player.org player, you’d need a way to allow people to upload mp3 files to a folder on your server. You could use
bb-attachments for that, probably:
https://bbpress.org/plugins/topic/bb-attachments/
There’s no plugin that I know of right now that allows people to upload mp3 files to your server, and allow them to embed a player in their reply that will then play that file. Not to mention, you’d then be hosting mp3 files of unknown origin, and possibly opening up some security problems.
There’s probably a way for a plugin to show and embed an mp3 player when it detects a URL with an mp3 file in it. I don’t know if that plugin exists yet.
In reply to: can't access bb-adminHave you tried logging out of WordPress then tried logging in to bbPress and then accessing the admin section?
In reply to: Sub ForumsI wish I could Zaerl.
In reply to: Your installation completed with some minor errors. If you want to reinstall, you will need to drop all the bb_ tables from the database. You will get this “upgrade” notice when there are bb_ tables in the database.
It almost looks like you used
main_
for your bbPress database table prefix? I hope that is not the table prefix for your WordPress installation. If it is, then using the same prefix for bbPress means the bbPress installer tried to install into your WordPress tables. In reply to: can't access bb-adminCan you post a screenshot of the tables that you can see in the database? It has to be there somewhere.
In reply to: Music pluginmopajomo, to insert into your template, or to allow members to embed in their post? If for members, would you allow them to upload mp3 files or would they need to be hosted elsewhere and they would provide you with the URL?
In reply to: [tags] Scrollbar for tag listYou *do* need to set the height, at least, to create the vertical scrollbar. So what size do you want to constrain it to? Can you show an example of a page where the tag list is too long that you want to add the scrollbar to?
Maybe this page?
http://www.pastorbob.co.uk/forum/bible-study/are-we-invincible
Add this to the topic-tags CSS right where you added the overflow: auto
height: 110px;
That will make it about as tall as the information to the left (at least on this page, with the amount of information there.)
In reply to: Music pluginWhat do you want to be able to do exactly?
In reply to: [tags] Scrollbar for tag listCan you provide a link to your forum please?
In reply to: Cannot see postsURL please?
In reply to: Any fix for bbcode_lite?What happens when you try to use it? Is there an error message?
In reply to: bbpress theme to use wordpress themeIsn’t ThemePress really, really old, and for previous versions of the software?
This ThemePress?
In reply to: WordPress 3 integrationIn reply to: WordPress supporting theme for bbpress???If you’re looking for the theme that is in use at wordpress.org, I don’t believe that is available anywhere.
You can find some themes here:
http://bbshowcase.org/forums/view/available-themes
You might also be able to use WP Mimic (direct download):
In reply to: My bbpress forum starting showing error , help meIt’s because your host is using PHP 5.3. Those deprecated messages can be hidden without affecting the functionality of your site at all.
This is fixed in the latest trunk release of bbPress, but turning off the display of deprecated messages will resolve the problem as well.
In reply to: Timezone changing crashes BBpress / Not functioning?Seems WordPress had the same trouble at some point:

In reply to: Timezone changing crashes BBpress / Not functioning?Interesting – this was a year ago:

In reply to: 500 error when searchingIf you have access to more error logs you should be able to see what’s happening. If not, you will need to enable custom error logging and then enable the plugin to see what the error is when you search.
In reply to: All deleted posts becoming undeletedTrunk is very stable. If you can install by subversion, that will be best because you will get the required backpress. If you grab the trunk from trac.bbpress.org you won’t get backpress (or Akismet I think.)
Can you install via svn in a shell? If not, I can package up the trunk release and make it available for download for you.
In reply to: All deleted posts becoming undeletedThere was a serious bug in earlier version of bbPress:
https://trac.bbpress.org/ticket/1150
If you delete a topic without any posts, you UNDELETE all posts, even posts on other topics.
Maybe a moderator did that, deleted a topic without posts? I think it’s probably something related to moderation.
It’s fixed in the latest trunk release.
In reply to: some errors during installationYes, turn off the display of deprecated messages. They’re not errors or even warnings or notices. They’re just telling you not to rely on a function because it is deprecated and will be going away in a future version.
Also, the problem is fixed in the trunk/development release, but is not fixed in the packaged 1.0.2 release you downloaded.
