Thanks. I was hoping it was that easy. Is there a list of bbpress shortcodes somewhere?

Ends up this issue is because of NextGEN gallery plugin. NextGEN is aware of it but its not on their priority list.

I was having the same problem. I found out it was the NextGEN gallery plugin causing the issue. I have a ticket in with them now to see how to fix.

I am having the hardest time getting visual buttons on my forum. I will try this. Where are you adding this code?

I installed this theme today and its perfect. I am like others and was about to find a different forum plugin until I found this. THANK YOU

I noticed that my breadcrumbs don’t show up now. They are turned on for the rest of site but don’t show on forum page now. I would like it on the forums.

Also I looked at the teamoverpowered forum and like the recent discussions box on top. Any thoughts on how to add that?

Is your forum page just the root page or did you create a page and shortcode?

I moved the new folder under my working theme folder. Don’t see a change. Do I need to change any other files to direct to the new file??

Those are categories with no parent with everything below them as forums and selected parents.

Thank You for that info. I set up the new directory and file like you mentioned. Do I need to do more or should it adapt.

I have the new bbPress folder created under the wp-content/themes folder and added the new php file to it.

Here are the forum pages I am messing with.
    The basic forum root averageoutdoorsman.com/forums/
The new page using shortcodes averageoutdoorsman.com/ao-forums/

Nothing has changed in either since I created the suggested files. Do I need to specify the new theme file somehow?

    Thanks for your help.

I really love how your forum is laid out. I have been trying to set mine up similar to that style and can’t get it. I really want the separated categories like that. I kinda got it working with shortcodes on a new page but its not that great. Do you mind sharing how you did yours?

Did you ever figure this out. I have it set up the way Robin said and it doesn’t separate them. It lists the forums side by side under each category.
