Yes and yes.
I had no idea the problem source is the editor. According to the user reports, it was email.

Thank you for your time.

It seems that making copy-paste from Libre Office to Bbpress editor brings the format data with the text.

I tested and the result in the editor is:

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consetetur sadipscing elitr, sed diam nonumy eirmod tempor invidunt

I wonder, why the editor can not handle the format data in the paste text.

But if you do the text formatting in the editor with the text you are typing, then there is no problem.

For further information, Hide my WP works also now but it needs to be configured. Just disable anti-spam option in HMWP hiding tab and disable IDS option in Protection tab.

If somebody is struggling with the same case, hopefully this helps.

Hide my WP plugin was the reason why our user faced problems.

We just disabled the plugin and now it works fine. Also we have informed the plugin developers.

Thank you for your time!

Oh, thank you very much for your quick help!

Unfortunately the case is still on. We tested earlier this week that option, but the result is same – except one thing.

1. When you copy text from email client (or word processor) including hyperlink and paste it to the forum, the result is 404 error after submission

2. But if you paste the text and remove the hyperlink (the link is still there but as plain text) then the message goes to queue and administrator must accept the submission

I can add hyperlinks to the text and submit it to forum if I type it manually without copying.

It looks like there are some rules which prevents adding the text to submission forms and subscribing it.
Very interesting case 🙂

Especially this 404 page case occurs when a hyperlink is part of copy-paste text from email client or word processor.

Users can not copy and/or share hyperlinks or text in the forum when they submit answers or open new topics.

When I copy text from email, then the result is 404 page error after submitting the text.

But if I copy text from browser (like lorem ipsum generator) and include a link, then it saves the reply to the forum.

Anyone else has this kind of issue?

Thank you for super quick replty. I am not sure, I think this is not default editor.

Thank you for your kindly help.

Actually the case is informative and the users should be informed. I did like this:

1. Use the forum editor for saving replys. Do not export content by using copy-paste function
2. If there is a need to paste links, then copy paste links from the browser address field.

This case was painful. We did not know why bbpress gave 404 error messages to forum users when they save forum messages. The reason was wrong format.

I have the same issue. For some reason follow-up notifications does not work…

Any ideas?
