Hey guys,

Got a strange one.

Just one user in my BP community replies to forum topics and his replies DO NOT show in the activity stream.

Any idea what would cause this?

I can’t see any privacy settings that would cause this.

Maybe it could be an Akismet thing?

His replies post though, they don’t get caught in spam, they just don’t appear in the stream. Everyone else’s replies do show in both forums and activity.

Help would be much appreciated as I miss out on replies which I should be engaging with.

Bizarrely, if I log in as this user and post, the topics and replies appear in the activity stream.

His original posts that DON’T appear in the stream don’t appear in spam of the activity stream in the dashboard and they even say that Akismet cleared them – so I don’t think it’s his IP that’s been blacklisted by Aksimet – surely they wouldn’t say ‘cleared’ on his replies if they did?

Totally bizarre.

Any ideas?

FINALLY figured it.

It was the use of emoji’s in his replies.

If someone uses an iPhone emoji, it still shows in BBPress, but for some reason the entry ISN’T placed in the activity stream.

Not quite sure if BBPress or BuddyPress is the culprit for that.
