I know there used to be a plugin for a visual editor that worked with bbpress, but I can’t seem to remember what it was called or how to set it up.

I want a plugin that has more than the very basic features of the visual bbpress has built in. Does anyone remember the name of said plugin?

I tried to use this one, and it just doesn’t even load the text box in the forums for users.

combine the visual editor tab plugin with TinyMCE Advanced and you will get more buttons to display.

Sadly that didn’t change anything, the text box won’t load and the visual bar doesn’t load either.
Perhaps plugins are contradicting, but I can’t think of any that would.

and What schmoo and I were saying is that you can use both of the plugins we mentioned to extend/show the visual editor.

to display the visual editor make sure you have configured the setting in settings > forums in the WordPress back-end.
